James Brown, moresources[edit]

There are plenty of paragraphs in the article without a single source. As far as I'm concerned, I feel the moresources tag is justified.--h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 20:36, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Particularly in the music career section, there are several paragraphs without a single source. The article is well sourced at the moment, but these should really be given some references.-h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 20:41, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:James Brown sources[edit]

My impression is that most of the information lacking footnotes in the music career session has been reported in multiple overlapping and widely available sources. My own contributions have drawn substantially on several such sources, including the Star Time booklet and the chapter dealing with Brown in Peter Guralnick's book Sweet Soul Music. I have added footnote-style citations for some of these. Maybe if some of these were added to the "Other References" section that would adequately address the issue? Such a list at the end of an article is more typical for an encyclopedia than a cloud of footnotes anyway.

Those are my off the cuff thoughts. I would be glad for further dialogue on the subject. Like you I would benefit from a more precise explanation of the improvements that HisSpaceResearch believes should be made.
