Welcome to Esperanza!
[edit]Welcome, M2K 2, to Esperanza, the Wikipedia member association! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.
Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is the StressUnit, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.
In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Possibles.
I encourage you to take an active voice in the running of Esperanza. We have a small government system, headed by our Administrator general, Celestianpower, and guided by the Advisory Committee comprised of JoanneB, FireFox and Titoxd. The next set of elections are right now.
If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact Celestianpower by email or talk page or the Esperanza talk page. Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, please see the IRC tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!
You created the page "M2K 2/Esperanza", but it is not suitable for the article space of Wikipedia. I'm not sure if you intended this to be just a test, or if you meant it to be in your user space, but I've moved it to User:M2K 2/Esperanza for you.-gadfium 22:27, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

Old Skool Esperanzial note
[edit]Since this isn't the result of an AC meeting, I have decided to go Old Skool. This note is to remind you that the elections are taking place now and will end at 23:50 UTC on 2006-04-29. Please vote here. Thanks. --Celestianpower háblame 20:42, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

Esperanza elections
[edit]Hi, how are you? I'm sorry to inform you that your vote was discounted at the Esperanza Advisory Council elections because your name was not on the list of eligible voters (member prior to April 6th). (Unfortunately, the message about the election was sent to ALL members, not just eligible voters.) If you feel this was a mistake for some reason, please let me know or leave a message on one of the relevant talk pages. Don't worry, there's always next election! Welcome to Esperanza, and let me know if there's anything I can do for you. :o) EWS23 | (Leave me a message!) 07:45, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

A short Esperanzial update
[edit]As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.
As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.
Thanks and kind, Esperanzial regards, —Celestianpower háblame 16:00, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Congrats
[edit]Your removal of the "Glitches" section on SSBM was the biggest deletion of text I've ever seen - a dark red 58,737 character count on my watchlist. Awesome. Hbdragon88 22:50, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Rock music Wikiproject invitation
[edit]Hello WikiProject Metal member.
WikiProject Metal music is important in expanding encyclopedic coverage of the metal. It brings attention to the lesser-known bands, and significantly improves the quality of the famous ones. Five Featured articles and two formers is proof of that.
This is the stuff I wish to achieve with the somewhat recently resurrected WikiProject Rock music. I hope to also attract attention to rock music articles of all sorts, and hopefully change some to GA or FA status. I invite you to come join us, and embrace the links between metal and rock music in general.
Rock on.

FYI, Wikipedia:WikiProject Big Four of Thrash Metal (in which you are listed as a participant) is being considered for deletion. You should check out the discussion.
As I stated at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:WikiProject Big Four of Thrash Metal, perhaps renaming & re-focusing the WikiProject to Wikipedia:WikiProject Thrash Metal or Wikipedia:WikiProject American Thrash Metal would avoid deletion and encourage greater participation. Please take a look at the MfD page and offer you opinion. -- Scientizzle 20:30, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:Single hangar.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Single hangar.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 03:03, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Single hangar.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Single hangar.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:49, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Phobia (song)
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Phobia (song), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- Fails WP:NSONGS
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
