Info on Islamophobic group

Hello,

What follows are the thoughts, expressed in their own words, and in the 'protest signs', of the obscure, very small, but very vocal 'activist group' known as "Protest Warrior".

"What's becoming clear is how the religion of Islam is addicted to war and mayhem. Not a radical minority, not a rogue sect, but its very essence is about submission and sacrifice and proving your worth by worshipping death in this life to gain a paradise of orgies and drunkenness. Their entire history is of warfare, and any accomplishments of their so-called Golden Age has been proven to be merely parasitic off the cultures they've conquered and reduced to dhimmi servitude. That every country under sharia is corrupt, belligerent, desolate and barbaric obviously gives them no pause, except to constantly drive them into further psychotic rage as they refuse to ever accept any responsibility for their conditions. They are akin to the powers in Orwell's 1984; there must always be an enemy. It's no surprise that women are treated like property in these countries as that's the only way Muslim men can feed their egos, to dominate others rather than ever actually produce something."

Kfir Alfia and Alan Lipton, founders of "Protest Warrior"

Their 'protest signs'...

Signs

I thought you might be interested in this group's sentiments. They are currently very actively editing their own article on Wiki and there is a lot of 'group think'. Perhaps you might want to become involved in the editing and discussion process on that page. If you do, please don't vandalize, and try to remain civil. Should you not want to involve youself, please forgive my intrusion.

An image that you uploaded or altered, Image:Nokia 5500 FCC Front Back.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is disputed. Thank you. --Hetar 18:25, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

The other images are tagged with appropriate licenses. You are claiming that this image has been released into the public domain when its source clearly indicates that it has not. Also, most phone images should be easily replaceable with a free equivalent, destroying any fair use rationale the image might have. I will tag the others you mentioned accordingly. --Hetar 18:51, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
Well I found the Nokia 5500 images in an FCC PDF document and assumed that they fall under the US Federal license, I merged them myself for ease of upload. Thats all I know, with regards to other images you might be interested to know the following might be in violation as well.

Your cite and reference tag on root dns

Thank you for tagging the root dns discussion and commenting that you thought additional cites and references were needed.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Root_nameserver

It is contrary to Wikipedia community standards to cite yourself since I am the main promulgator of the latest edit related to 'local copy of root servers' and the rest of the article supports this as a fact including a refernce to the IAB comment about "alternative DNS". I state that this is not alternative DNS, for example. Anything other than that enters into the emotional arguments surrouding the control of the root dns which is not encyclopedic, at least for this article.

Thanks kindly!

--Hannigan 16:52, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

The tagging was to make people aware the article needs to look more professional, as it relates to something very core to the Internet itself, I think if the references were linked as per Wikipedia format in their subheading that would add more validity to the article, it has more to do with the article in general than recent edits.

Thanks for your contribution Hannigan my info on this topic is very limited.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm relatively new to Wiki, but you can feel free to example edit the article if you like. :) Much appreciate the editorial volunteerism regardless! Thank you. --Hannigan 21:55, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on XRM Radio, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on Talk:XRM Radio. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. RJASE1 Talk 18:26, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Go ahead delete it, its not important anymore.

Please do not continue adding EL's to this article. It was a link farm that has been cleaned. Thanks. Calltech 22:43, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:YahooNext.gif

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:YahooNext.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 12:14, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Redirect of Portableapps.com

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Portableapps.com, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Portableapps.com is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Portableapps.com, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:XpressLogo.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:XpressLogo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 20:37, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Yahoo!GeoCities.gif

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Yahoo!GeoCities.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

Speedy deletion of Image:Yahoo!GeoCities.gif

A tag has been placed on Image:Yahoo!GeoCities.gif requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I6 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with no fair use rationale uploaded after May 4, 2006 which has been tagged as not having a rationale for more than 7 days.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[Talk:Image:Yahoo!GeoCities.gif|the article's talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. AfD nomination of Nokia E70

An editor has nominated Nokia E70, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nokia E70 and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 00:44, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

WikiProject Dubai

I noticed that you have contributed to several articles about Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. If you are interested, a WikiProject Dubai is currently being proposed here. Feel free to add your name if you would like to participate. Thank you. Leitmanp (talk | contributions) 22:00, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

A temporary page has been created at User:Raime/WikiProject Dubai. You can go directly there to add your name, if you would like to be a member. If you do not want to be a member and do not wish to be notified of further updates, just leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Leitmanp (talk | contributions) 06:39, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
I understand your concerns about a WikiProject UAE. This was brought up during the proposal. Someone felt that a WikiProject UAE would be more effective than a WikiProject Dubai. It was decided that it would be a good idea to have a WikiProject Dubai due to the city's increasing international importance. Such a city that is the center of international business, tourism, and architecture (and because there are so many articles on Wikipedia just about Dubai that are of terrible quality) deserves its specific attention.
Well, if you ever feel that you can help improve any Dubai-related articles, it would be surely welcomed. And just one quick question: How long is your commute between Ajman and Dubai?
Leitmanp (talk | contributions) 19:34, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
Oh I always start and contribute to Dubai related articles, whenever I know I can, I grew up in Dubai after all :-). Maybe I'll join you guys after all.
I work near Ibn Battuta Mall and I have three options, shortest is through Sharjah and Dubai city centers via Sheikh Zayed Road, that’s around 60 Kilometers, but traffic is horrible at Dubai borders and gridlocked throughout Sharjah and Dubai, on week days, so I mostly go through my next best option, that’s via Emirates Road (Highway E311), going around Sharjah and Dubai’s out skirts, costing me 74 Kilometers, but traffic is so bad (1.5 Hr wait) just on Emirates Road entering Sharjah at National Paints flyover, So at times, I have to take an even longer route, via the outer bypass road (Highway E611) and Al Khail road, and various outer smaller roads, making my run even longer at around 90 kilometers, but relatively gridlock free.
So a 40-50 min short straight work commute on a good day (Only Friday -Saturdays) runs 1.10 hrs via Emirates Road and 1.30 – 1.40 hr via the Outer bypass road one way.

Arab Media Group

Hi, My name is Brian Ashby and I am the head of online editorial at Arab Media Group. Most of the information that is on the Arab Media Group page is incorrect and I would like to change it. I did change it this morning, and was in the process of finishing it when someone removed it. I have never edited anything on Wikipedia before so I don't know if I did something wrong per se. But I'd like to know how to go about getting the inaccurate information off the site and the correct stuff on it. Thanks, Brian (Bashby17 (talk) 10:33, 28 February 2008 (UTC))

Hello Brian, my name is M. Muzammil and for the sake of full disclosure I’d like to say, I also work at Arab Media Group as a Broadcast engineer at Arabian Television Network, I’m the one who reverted your changes as they would’ve been reverted by someone else, sooner or later, because the changes weren’t reflecting neutal point of view and read like an advertisement.
Furthermore, with your recent edits, all the notable references in article also got deleted. I’d advise on being an inclusionist and building upon other peoples’ edits rather than doing major re-writes. However you’re most welcome to make any corrections in your own words and keeping in line with Wikipedia formatting styles i.e. new facts should be referenced from Reliable sources.
I hope that clarified some things,
