Time will tell, more evidence would be needed even before a SPI could be initiated. Mabuska (talk) 17:00, 6 March 2015 (UTC)

Apology

Hi. Sorry if I sounded like I was giving you a hard time on ANI - I didn't mean to! I was just trying to understand the situation. I was reading up about the Antrim Coast Road in another window, wondering if I should add this quotation from Ian Paisley who called it "one of the most beautiful in the whole of the United Kingdom".[1] Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 16:53, 6 March 2015 (UTC)

No problems. The whole issue is "governed" so to speak by a rigid adherence to WP:IMOS, which whilst not perfect as the city's official name is Londonderry, is the best compromise we have got on the site to stop a mass edit-war all around the project and to keep some form of control over it. I was tempted to just notify any one of several admin who know the scene very well but thought AN/I would be better overall.
Changes to IMOS on the issue have been proposed to give a little leeway but have always failed to get any whiff of consensus as it is a can of worms that is best kept shut.
Aye go ahead why not, he is quite a notable person so the description would carry more weight than either you or me saying it, though as its MP for a long time, he might just be a little biased ;-) Having said that Torr Head is great, I just hate driving down the very small road down to it. I have dropped the quote into the article - I think I was just a bit twitchy about adding something from Paisley talking about something in Co. Antrim being in the "United Kingdom", which is just the sort of thing that would bring a WP:IMOS pusher out of the woodwork. I'm more familiar with travelling round the south (I have a strong affinity for Kinsale, having been there several times, and the scenery from Glengariff to Killarney via the Ring of Kerry is nothing short of spectacular) but I would like to make time to visit the North as well. Disambiguation link notification for March 26

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Niamh McGrady, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ballynahinch. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Counties of Ireland

Hi. I did not reply as I was not entirely sure whether to reply on your talk page or mine. I agree that the flags of the counties are not administrative flags, I never said they were. Each flag does represent each county in Gaelic games which is in fact Ireland's dominant sport and I think that each county should show it's traditional flag in the infobox on it's page. -Let me know if I posted this in the wrong place. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sliothar (talkcontribs) 14:05, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

Hiya. No problem posting here. The thing is they aren't the traditional flag of the county as they don't have flags. The counties have coats of arms. These flags are traditional for the GAA county and are thus applicable to articles such as Cavan GAA, Monaghan GAA and Cork GAA, which represent the GAA county units, not County Cavan, County Monaghan, and County Cork which represent former administrative counties. The addition of them to those county articles implies that they are official flags for them when they aren't. Mabuska (talk) 14:20, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
