Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, MacDurk. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Epiphany_Episcopal_Church_(Oak_Hill,_Virginia), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. creffett (talk) 03:44, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

January 2020[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. creffett (talk) 03:55, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your suggestions. Please see my responses to proposed article changes:

This article contains content that is written like an advertisement. (January 2020)
Response: Article was written by a team to discuss programs and activities; not sure why it is labeled as an advertisement.
This article may contain an excessive amount of intricate detail that may interest only a particular audience. (January 2020)
Response: It would help to know what is meant by "intricate detail"
A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject. (January 2020)
Response: My affiliation as a congregation member was noted when I originally submitted the article.
