Thank You

Thank you so much for your editorial advice. (Csunstudent123 (talk) 19:36, 13 May 2011 (UTC))

No problem! :) Welcome to Wikipedia! MacMedtalkstalk 20:22, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

Thanks

I didn't realize that the picture (which was up at various websites with permission) didn't constitute Fair Use. Thanks for clearing that up.Cordova829 (talk) 22:22, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

No prob. MacMedtalkstalk 02:49, 14 May 2011 (UTC)

My hero!

Hi Mac,

Thank you so much for helping me fumble through getting a public domain picture onto a bio page. You are so very kind & patient. If I ever learn enough about editing wiki pages to give advice or assistance to someone else, YOU are the gold standard for courtesy and kind guidance. Much obliged Ellie Dahl (talk) 04:25, 15 May 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the compliments :) Feel free to ask me if you have any more questions. Regards, MacMedtalkstalk 04:27, 15 May 2011 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:HairBTWCover.jpg

Hello, thanks for letting me know this file issue. I have explained why this image is under fair use. You can check File:HairBTWCover.jpgagain and please consider removing the delete template. Also, please let me know which decission you're taking. Thanks in advance,--Evengan (talk) 01:33, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

I've gone ahead and remove the deletion template for you. If possible, please try and get the article into mainspace as soon as possible, since we prefer that fair use images aren't in userspace :) Feel free to keep working on the article though, and ask me if you have any questions about the article or about moving it! Regards, MacMedtalkstalk 01:37, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for your help, I deeply appreciate it. About getting the article into mainspace, I want that to happen as soon as possible. Do you think it is ready, or is there some things that need to be changed? I want to have it "perfect" to avoid a deletion discussion in the future. Thanks for your help. --Evengan (talk) 03:50, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
Looks alright to me. Remember than when you move it you should title it Hair (Lady Gaga single) or something similar since there a lot of other entries for the word hair. Also remember to update Hair (disambiguation) with a link to your article. Regards, MacMedtalkstalk 03:56, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for your fast response :) Just in case, what if I get the "it hasn't charted yet" excuse to delete? --Evengan (talk) 04:00, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
Well I'd say that 900 gnews hits counts as significant coverage. And honestly, with Lady Gaga it will chart so quickly that by this time in a day or two it will be on the Billboard Top 100. Just wait a couple days and you'll be fine. Regards, MacMedtalkstalk 04:06, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
Then should I wait until it charts on Billboard? They will release their new chart next Thursday. I know it will chart, given that it is a Gaga song, but is that a problem for the creation of the article now?--Evengan (talk) 04:11, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
I would wait. It won't kill you, and then you're for sure good to go on the article. MacMedtalkstalk 04:12, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

Wikipedia Ambassador sweatshirt

Hi! This is the last call for signing on for a Wikipedia Ambassador hooded sweatshirt (in case you missed the earlier message in one of the program newsletters about it). If you would like one, please email me with your name, mailing address, and (US) sweatshirt size. We have a limited number left, so it will be first-come, first-served. (If more than one size would work for you, note that as well.)

Thanks for helping with assessment! I was excited to see you are helping out. There is anew assessment posted here. There are 25 articles in both this assessment and the next/final assessment. There was a huge amount of content that got added this term, hopefully the randomly selected articles will show it to be high quality. You should see some results from the assessments in the coming months. Please, let me know if you have any comments or questions about research with the Public Policy Initiative. Candy bros

Hi, I don't see that afd as fullfilling the requirements of non admin closure - I would prefer it if an administrator closed it, please reopen it, thanks. Off2riorob (talk) 22:51, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

It seemed like it was "a clear keep consensus, minus any contentious debate among participants", but it is your prerogative to request it be reopened.  Doing... now. Regards, MacMedtalkstalk 22:55, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
Thanks very much, I prefer in this case an experienced closer to comment, there is a lot of disruption at the BLP and as such only a little degree of support at the AFD, I appreciate your assistance, regards. Off2riorob (talk) 23:01, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
