Welcome![edit]

Hello, MadamAccuracy, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Warning[edit]

Your username and your history, which consists solely of adding poorly-sourced material promoting the Hippocrates Health Institute, suggests that you may be here to Right Great Wrongs. I'm afraid that's a bad idea. If you are associated with the clinic, you should not edit the article and should instead request specific changes with reliable independent sources on the talk page. If you continue to add this material you may be blocked from editing. Guy (Help!) 20:14, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Poorly Sourced?[edit]

I am confused on why a scholarly journal article I cited was taken down for being "poorly sourced". I am feeling the admins monitoring this page are extremely biased as you are not allowing actual factual science on the page. MadamAccuracy (talk) 20:36, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps because it's not actually scholarly, and promotes a fringe view. Guy (Help!) 22:09, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please help me understand how this source is "not actually scholarly, and promotes a fringe view"? Chronic calorie restriction attenuates experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis. Piccio L, Stark JL, Cross AH. J Leukoc Biol. 2008;84:940-48. Key Finding: “CR induces multiple metabolic and physiologic modifications, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and neuroprotective effects that may be beneficial in multiple sclerosis. The CR-induced hormonal, metabolic and cytokine changes observed in our studies suggest a combined anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effect. CR with adequate nutrition and careful medical monitoring should be explored as a potential treatment for MS.” MadamAccuracy (talk) 22 December 2015 (UTC)

Please see WP:MEDRS. Also the paper had nothing directly to do with the Hippocrates Health Institute. Alexbrn (talk) 05:02, 23 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ok I'll do my best to use additional sources, however I think it was relevant because it was citing research that is used at the institute that was directly related to the comment by the lawyer. Next time I'll double up the citation on sources(talk) 23 December 2015 (UTC)

I have reviewed the talk pages of Alexbrn and it is clear you have a personal gripe and vested interest in attempting to disprove holistic approaches to health. You are taking down properly sourced content and are abusing your administrator privileges. If this continues I will post on the incident board. I am just trying to represent this page with accurate information on what the institute actually teaches, not the opinions of others. MadamAccuracy (talk) 17:44, 28 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

December 2015[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Hippocrates Health Institute. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Alexbrn (talk) 17:50, 28 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I am clearly not abusing the 24 hour three revert rule, or any practice to warrant blocking. MadamAccuracy (talk) 17:56, 28 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
3RR is a limit not a target or entitlement. You can be blocked for one revert if it's tendentious. Guy (Help!) 00:39, 29 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
