Mazda MX-5

[edit]

Congrats on your excellent contribution to the Mazda MX-5 article. It is looking great now! 203.129.49.209 13:58, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! And thanks for changing the "car innards" to something more acceptable. --maf 10:00, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Portugal

[edit]

It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed content from Portugal. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Thank you. ST47Talk 11:19, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why are you removing valid information from Portugal? ST47Talk 11:23, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article was too long at 60+ K. All rm info is in remitted articles. Doing it section by section, after which will do a general cleanup and narrative tightening. Please wait. --maf 11:26, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That is not "too long", we have many longer articles. And google says remit means to send money, so I have no idea what you are talking about. ST47Talk 11:29, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

-Pedro 22:34, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You would have to go section the section and it article all of a time, as you wanted to go everything of a time, you did not leave an enormous article in a thing without value none. PedroPVZ, it's an honour to have you writing in my page. Your fame precedes you. Anyway, seeing as others already started to add new stuff to the article, I will let you edit "first great war" and decide whether "triathlon" or "hip hop tuga" or even the "good relations with Romania" are worth mentioning in this article. Or, do what your conscience dictates you and rv everything, and then ask to temporarily protect the article from those damn vandals. PS How about my go at Olivenza? I'm disappointed with no comments so far. --maf 00:58, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, when you want to link to the article about Bosnia, please do not link to Bosnia, as that is a disambiguation page (which nothing should be linked to). Instead link to the one of the options found on that page such as Bosnia (region) or Bosnia and Herzegovina by writing out [[Bosnia and Herzegovina|Bosnia]]. Regards, Jeff3000 22:52, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry everybody, and thanks Jeff3000 for fixing it. --maf 00:19, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:1990-1993 black flickr t-mix.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:1990-1993 black flickr t-mix.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Liftarn 13:28, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation cleanup

[edit]

If you like to do MoS:DP cleanup, perhaps you'd like to check out Wikipedia:SU, a list of pages that all need to be split and cleaned up to become ordinary disambiguation pages. I have answered your redirect questions on my talk page. Happy editing, Kusma (討論) 08:46, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the pointer, didn't know it. --maf 12:27, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Azores page

[edit]

why did you change my edits to the azores page? the paragraph that you reverted to is very badly written. & also the Azores are NOT in the MIDDLE of the atlantic ocean. The page goes on to list the distance of 1/3 boston & 2/3rds Lisbon.... even from north to south they are Not in the middle.

Dear User:Minimia: a. You forgot to sign your post (use --~~~~ to do it). b. It wasn't me, sorry. I like to do reverts but my last 3 reverts on Azores were exclusively about linkspam. c. Don't delete other people comments on your talk page, ESPECIALLY comments telling you not to delete other people comments... because anyone can revert it anyway, ok? Cheers. --maf 15:04, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
On my talk page there was not a comment about deleting other peoples comments. I did not delete anyones comments!!! There was something about vandalism which, sorry, I'm NOT a vandal & don't think it's right that that is written on _my_ page! What I did was fix a typo. Yes perhaps I shouldn't have done that but it was an impulse. & there is no need to be obsessive about a change of one letter when my actually _work_ is throw away like "lixo"!! When you reverted to get rid of the spam link, you removed the changes that I made, I far as I see it was you as the last log (If I'm incorrect I apologize in advance)
(PS, I still can't get the tag to correctly to sign my post) minimia
(pss, if you want to delete this free free! ;o)
Dear User:Minimia, let me help you, at the risk of sounding patronizing: a. to sign your posts, write four tildes and they will be automagically replaced by your username and timestamp after you save the page. b. Indent your answers on talk pages by starting them with colons (":"), one more than the preceding answer - I edited your answer above to indent it. c. WP is very good - actually it is PERFECT - at preserving the edit history of articles - study the differences between edits and you'll see I did not touch any text on my linkspam reverts on Azores. Your apology is accepted, no stress. And finally, d. Read this again: Don't delete other people comments on your talk page, ESPECIALLY comments telling you not to delete other people comments... Your talk page IS NOT YOURS as you state, it is rather a page to talk TO you and WITH you. Please answer the comment that was left on your talk page (just like I'm answering you here) instead of deleting the comment senselessly, because anyone can revert it anyway, ok? Cheers and please cool down. --maf 23:37, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
a.) Not patronizing at all. I just couldn't get it to work... as I thought I need to use that tag you left. I think i get it now. b.) done c.)About the Azores page.... I apologize again, I was reading the differences & as far as I saw it was edited by you. But, I'll admit it's possible that I read it wrong. d.) I don't want to sound patronizing either, but I did not delete a commment about DELETING a comment. I was about EDITING a comment. Did you at least read the comment? You are adding to the idea that I'm a VANDAL & I'm NOT! I only moved an " ' " (or something, I can't remember) on impluse! It think it's rather silly, but if you feel I should, I'll answer him in my talk page. Minimia 14:36, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you split off all the other people named mahler into a separate article? They were the only other things to be disambiguated, and moving them makes another click for anyone who wants to find a particular person. Night Gyr (talk/Oy) 23:19, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

a. Guidelines say name lists should be titled (name) or (surname), not (disambiguation). This article is definitely not a dab, but a surname list.
b. After I removed the names from the (disambiguation) article, I think I left that article behind as deprecated legacy. It would have been better to have asked for its deletion. Maybe I didn't want to go through that task, or maybe I didn't want to correct all the double redirects. I don't remember any longer. If the (disambiguation) article had been deleted, I reckon you wouldn't have been puzzled. --maf 20:35, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
