Rhythm Divine[edit]

@ResolutionsPerMinute: Graet job on the credits and chart performance! I think once the critical reception and accolades are done, I think it's good to go! Well unless I'm missing anything of course. Erick (talk) 06:15, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The music video section could also do with some expansion. The add dates were all I could find about it. Is the Track listing section also good? I tend to exclude certain European formats if there are a bunch of them so it doesn't become too long. ResPM (T🔈🎵C) 10:32, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@ResolutionsPerMinute I think both the music video and track listing are fine. I cannot find any reviews for the music video and I merged the playlists to the promotion. There isn't really much I could find about the music video aside from that one Spanish article. I think I just finished the critical reception. Aside from the lead section, I think we're pretty much done with the article! Erick (talk) 16:56, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ooo-kay then. Once you get the lead section ready, I'll do one final copyedit for good measure, then we can get this show on the road. ResPM (T🔈🎵C) 17:02, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have a question. In the article, it says the song was released on 8 October 1999. I can't access the site that says this, so I just need to double-check the quote: the song was released to radio in Costa Rica on 8 October, correct? ResPM (T🔈🎵C) 17:15, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yep. Even if you can't access it, if you use the exact on Google, you will find. My free trial with the newspaper expired unfortunately, so I able to access before that happened. Erick (talk) 20:25, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ah well. You got to it in time. By the way, I added more release info to the body and move the Live performances section since it was getting a little long. I'll do my final copyedit soon, after you work on the lead. ResPM (T🔈🎵C) 20:29, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Nice! I just finished the lead! I'll leave it all to you! Great job RSM! Erick (talk) 20:43, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I just finished making the final touches, so pack up and ship out. ResPM (T🔈🎵C) 21:10, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome! My next song to work on is "You Sang to Me", Would you be interested in that as well? Erick (talk) 21:30, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No thanks. I'm not as interested in Marc Anthony. Once you start working on another Iglesias track released from 2000 to 2004, let me know. No rush. ResPM (T🔈🎵C) 21:34, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Cool, no problem! My next Enrique Iglesias song will be Hero, that's once I get to songs that reached #1 on the Latin pop songs charts in 2001 (I'm still in 2000 so to speak). Erick (talk) 21:41, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I don't care for "Hero" that much, so I don't think I'll help with that one. Maybe another one. ResPM (T🔈🎵C) 22:50, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's alright, and listen. I really do appreciate working with you. It was fun! Erick (talk) 15:11, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Jon Secada[edit]

lolz, I was just about to ask which ref style did you wanted to work with. I'll start working right after creating La Diferenzia's article. – jona 14:54, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Are you currently working on the article? – jona 18:59, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Not right now, my work schedule is Tuesdays to Saturdays from 2:15 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. . I work at home by the way LOL. So during those times I am not going to be at Wikipedia. Erick (talk) 20:22, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I might do like I edit or two during my lunch at 6:30 each day Erick (talk) 20:22, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, just letting you that I've got my shovel and bucket and I'm starting to dig in the sandbox. – jona 12:24, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Haha, sounds good. To avoid any edit conflicts, I'll just post some useful sources (namely the reviews) here:
Erick (talk) 12:38, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I added all of 'em to the article. I am done for the day – jona 20:33, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Dude, I cannot stress how impressed I am you did with this article. You did an awesome! I did some chart performance for the US during my lunch time. Erick (talk) 23:39, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks man, and thanks for the refs above. I'm going to begin working. – jona 13:26, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I added content from El Siglo, I'm going to take a break, should be back editing later this evening so if you want to edit the article, go ahead =) – jona 16:41, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good! I have another free hour so I'll continue with the chart performance. I'm going to merge North and South America for now. Erick (talk) 16:44, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Perfect! I did some more snooping and found not only the name of the director, but also it winning two Billboard Music Video Awards in the Latin category (one for the artist and the other for the director). Here is the tasty sauce for it:
[17]. Erick (talk) 13:55, 10 June 2023 (UTC) EDIT: Make that three, two for Secada, and one for the director.[reply]
To use the ref style I use; use the {{sfn}} template that you would normally reserve for citing books. For example, say you have this source, all you would do is extract the information from it: {{sfn|Haberman|Feuer|2023}} because there are two authors from the article, I added both last names and the following field is for the year of the published work, followed by page number if given. Then, go down to "works cited" and add *{{cite news|last1=Haberman |first1=Maggie |last2=Feuer |first2=Alan |title=Two Trump Lawyers Quit a Day After His Indictment |url=https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/09/us/politics/trump-indictment-lawyers-trusty-rowley.html |access-date=10 June 2023 |work=The New York Times |date=9 June 2023}} and then that's it. The tricker ones would be the sources with little to no identifiable information such as most Mexican newspapers and certification bodies, so in that case, you would use {{sfn|Anon.|YEAR}} "anon." defining that the author is not defined by source if no year is given, write in "n.d." indicating no date was given. Then, add the citation in "works cited" and add *{{cite news|ref={{sfnref|Anon.|YEAR or n.d.}}|title=Two Trump Lawyers Quit a Day After His Indictment |url=https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/09/us/politics/trump-indictment-lawyers-trusty-rowley.html |access-date=10 June 2023 |work=The New York Times |date=9 June 2023}}. Hopes this helps, I prefer this style as it makes the article less crowded and helps me with editing. If it's still too much, I am ok with the following singles being the usual style. With that, I am back to editing. 12:43, 10 June 2023 (UTC)

I actually found the music video award from Gale, I added it. Do you mind looking into Newspapers.com and ProQuest to expand the article, while I'll exhaust Gale and Google Books on my end? I'm also going to take a break, I'll be back at it later tonight. – jona 17:45, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm back to work. – jona 21:40, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Just a heads up about using the chart tables from El Siglo del Torreón (well UPI really). The charts only list music charts from Capital cities not the entire country so they shouldn't be used ask chart tables but they can be mentioned in the prose. Those charts were discussed on the wiki project chart talk page. After 1998, that's when they started using full country charts instead of just a city. Correction: el siglo del torreon use notiMexErick (talk) 22:36, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oh didn't know that. I'll edit those tomorrow, I'm done for today =) – jona 00:27, 11 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'll take care of it for you bud. T Sunday and Mondays are my days off so I'll be able to do more. Erick (talk) 00:46, 11 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Great, I'm going to start editing and finishing up on my end. – jona 12:58, 11 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I see that you're currently working on it. I'll continue on a different sandbox so we won't get edit conflicts. – jona 13:11, 11 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, I did some major overhauls including giving Latin America its own section on the commercial performance which I think works great! I also did the Europe chart performance as well. I'll let you take it from here! Erick (talk) 15:37, 11 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I know it's probably too late, but here's a review of the song by Larry Flick from Billboard. I see there's a review already by Billboard, but it's from 2005. This one is from the year it came out.

Also here's a ASCAP nomination] for pop song of the year, losing to Evidencias and No Se Tu (Lannert, John (29 May 1993). "ASCAP Salutes Latin Writers, Publishers" (PDF). Billboard. 105 (22): 44. ISSN 0006-2510. Archived (PDF) from the original on 24 April 2023. Retrieved 24 April 2023.)
I added the above, and I am done for today lolz. I think the article is done, if you find anything else can add 'em. – jona 22:12, 11 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, it's completely good! Not only am I going to nominate this for GA, but also DYK. Erick (talk) 22:31, 11 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
So, do you want to work on Angel next? I could start posting sources here. Erick (talk) 12:33, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, go ahead and start working on the article. I'll start sometime tomorrow. – jona 21:03, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Angel[edit]

Here are some sources:

[https://www.proquest.com/docview/243284545/3D587C20D1DB4262PQ/16?accountid=196403 ] (This one is proof that the Spanish version reached #1 song)

Honestly, most of the sources that talk above Angel are the ones I already posted for "Just Another Day". The only thing I can't find is what the song talks about except John Lannert calling it a romantic ode. Question, do you think we get "Do You Believe in Us" and "I'm Free" GA, we might have a potential good topic for Otro Dia Mas Sin Verte? Erick (talk) 00:05, 13 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure if Frankie Negron's version warrants a mention, but here's [https://www.proquest.com/docview/279170796/2E26599D2EFE4161PQ/1?accountid=196403 a review of it]. I'll let you decide if we should include his version. Erick (talk) 00:13, 13 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've added the review from Flick. I'm going to take a break and should resume again later on this afternoon or evening. You can take it from here Erick. – jona 16:49, 13 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'll see if I can do it during my lunch at 6:30. Erick (talk) 18:31, 13 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You think you can exhaust Newspapers.com to expand the article? – jona 20:29, 14 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry for the lack of the response and for making you do all the work. I think you should go ahead and nominate the Angel. Are you okay with doing "Do You Believe in Us" next? I mentioned this before, but I think Otro Dia Mas Sin Verte has the potential to be a good topic if we can get "Do You Believe" and "I'm Free" GAs. Erick (talk) 17:17, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Just checking in. Would you still like to continue with Secada's songs? Erick (talk) 12:03, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
