Blocked

[edit]

Hello. I've blocked this account aa a sockpuppet of Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Supervisor635. When you're blocked, you can't edit. If you're not a sockpuppet and you'd like to be unblocked, see WP:APB. Thanks. -- zzuuzz (talk) 15:21, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Cambridge International General Certificate of Education - Advanced Level

Request reason:

Hello, I have noticed that I have been blocked and I would like to kindly, politely and respectfully ask for a deblock as there must be a misunderstanding; I have been accused of sockpuppetry though I personally have not done this. I am part of the international school sector and have created the article Cambridge International General Certificate of Education - Advanced Level, which was patrolled on and approved by an administrator yesterday. I have also made some edits to other qualifications related to Cambridge International Examinations but cannot see how those edits were harmful. Thus, as written before, I would kindly ask to deblock me and to restore my article as well as my edits. Thank you very much for your time.

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request for the following reasons:

  1. The article in question was not patrolled or approved by an administrator.
  2. You seem to have a significant conflict of interest in regards to the subject matter you are writing about. You are not able to write impartially about the subject and therefore it is strongly recommended you not be involved with these articles or their creation.
  3. A sock puppet investigation determined that this account and eight others were technically indistinguishable from each other.
  4. You have been blocked for abusively using multiple accounts.
  5. Some of the accounts were used for disruption and vandalism including blanking large sections of articles.

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I obviously won't answer this request for a review of the block. I don't know if you noticed, but the edits by the other users consisted of adding four 'problem' tags, indicating in my opinion, a problematic conflict of interest. I also considered, before deleting the article, the problems with the original account(s) who would add misleading information as well as systematically remove correct and verifiable information. Despite the improved efforts, this really needs to stop. I need to see these previous issues addressed. Also, Jupiter34 (talk · contribs · block log). -- zzuuzz (talk) 17:39, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Thank you for your prompt answer. By stating "I obviously won't answer this request", do you mean that you will not be responsible for it or do you mean that you are responsible but won't even consider my deblock request? I really don't know why I was blocked, as stated before. Well, I do know why, because I somehow got into a sockpuppetry investigation and am suspected to be a sockpuppet but seriously I am not one. Of course, I noticed the tag in my article but the points therein didn't seem too serious, at least my article was approved by two admins. Again, I kindly ask for to get my account deblocked and I appreciate your efforts and your time. Best,— Preceding unsigned comment added by Magicrudolph (talkcontribs)

I won't answer the request, as it will be done by a random independent reviewer. They have full authority from both me and the wider community to take whatever action they consider appropriate. I also believe I am right (so may not make much sense if I'm wrong), and will not be persuaded otherwise. -- zzuuzz (talk) 17:57, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again for your fast reply. When you say "random independent reviewer", is this going to be an administrator or just any kind of user who may somehow come across my request? Also, how long do you think it will take to review my case? I seriously (I do not mean seriously in an attacking way) don't know why you are so firmly against me; I really didn't do anything... yesterday I created this article and edited a bit and today I am suddenly blocked... Again, thank you for your time and effort.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Magicrudolph (talkcontribs)

It will be an elected administrator, and for what it's worth, although they will be a regular like myself, I have full faith in their independence. My reasoning: you are making exactly the same edits as 83.77.136.150 (talk · contribs), who in turn registered several different accounts, and caused a lot of problems on this same subject matter. The time for review can vary from an hour or two to a day or two. We are volunteers after all. -- zzuuzz (talk) 18:26, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply. I don't know to whom you are referring to, I didn't copy any edits; if you don't believe me, why don't you look at my edits? I seriously didn't copy anyone, nor attack anyone, nor vandalize anything. Again, Thank you very much for all the time you are devoting to my case. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Magicrudolph (talkcontribs)

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Mkdwtalk 03:30, 21 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Mkdw Thank you for your time. Of course, I am disappointed by the decline of my block. Indeed, you are correct; my article was not patrolled on by an administrator but by a user with a lot of expertise and many similar rights but, as you say, not an administrator; I have discovered that now myself. I put so much time into the article and my edits and I apologize for whatever I did wrong. I implore you to unblock me and to restore my article and my edits. Thanks again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Magicrudolph (talkcontribs)

Magicrudolph, I have some concerns regarding WP:COMPETENCE. You state, "whatever [you] did wrong" but I am not certain you are exactly aware of how you violated several of our core policies. You're essentially 3 for 3 in violating some of our most serious policies: abusively using multiple accounts, vandalism and disruption, and conflict of interest. Further, even basic things like signing your posts have not been followed after instructions were provided to you above. This either suggests to me that you haven't taken the time to learn how to edit Wikipedia productively, and simply pushed ahead either willfully or negligently. Based upon your previous actions; no explanation provided about how you specifically violated our policies; and how you will specifically avoid these issues in the future; I cannot grant your unblock request.
