Image tagging for Image:Goku.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Goku.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Super Saiyan

[edit]

I completely agree that the article needs to be rewritten. However, per WP:OR, no mentions on "non-canon" or "canon" are to be made in articles. Just keep that in mind when you rewrite articles. Cheers! -- bulletproof 3:16 03:20, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

But can't we do something about it? Tons of People have made contributions to the Goku page based on original research, but that's what made it all the better. It's exciting to read, and very educational. I have made contributions based on the canon material like Manga and the official Dragonball guide (Daizenshuu). Most people don't read Manga though, but they definitely should, anime is riddled with Plotholes. :(Majinvegeta
I know it sucks but unfortunately, after the original Dragon Ball Canon article was overwhelmingly voted to be deleted; a consensus was formed that classified all "non-canon", "canon" stuff as Original Research. So now, under Wikipedia policy, all that stuff has to be removed from Dragon Ball related articles. For example, instead of adding something like: It was then that Goku was able to transform into the non-canon Super Saiyan 4... Just leave it as: It was then that Goku was able to transform into Super Saiyan 4... -- bulletproof 3:16 03:32, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That sucks, that way people get confused between what is original and true reference and what isn't. But Like I said, the major issue is that the majority of Dragonball fans don't read the Manga or own Daizenshuu (I don't own Daizenshuu), I guess that's why they had to vote it like that. It sucks. Oh well. :( Majinvegeta

Grandpa Gohan

[edit]

He's Grandpa Gohan, not Son Gohan. A Son Gohan article already exists. He's called Grandpa Gohan to distinguish him from the other. Okay? So please stop changing it.--SUIT42 06:48, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

His Real Name is Son Gohan, Not Grandpa Gohan. You don't say that (ex) Your friend George's Uncle's name is Uncle Bob, you say his name is Bob, am I right? I directed the Son Gohan thing I edited to the Grandpa Gohan article, So even though it Says Son Gohan, It is directed to the right article. I don't see your logic, Son Gohan is his real name, not Grandpa Gohan. Majinvegeta

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.--SUIT42 03:06, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. --SUITHalloween? 04:32, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nonsense? Maybe instead of going after me, you should talk to the people who add "speculations" to the articles. Look at the Super Saiyan article or the Goten article. The issue with Wikipedia is that non-canon, non-factual "non-senses" are allowed on the articles, which then leads to debates and arguments, and most of all confusion. The Dragonball series is a perfect example of this issue. I use the Daizenshuus (official guides), and Mangas (orignal series), and my own knowlege of what I have observed. Maijvegeta
Your own knowledge is OR, and it is not allowed. See WP:MOS, WP:OR, and WP:POV. Just to brush up your knowledge.--SUITHalloween? 04:56, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:DragonballZ-Movie12 582.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:DragonballZ-Movie12 582.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Edit Conflicts

[edit]

I'm not trying to be rude, but, when you edit talk pages, please click show preview, rather than saving right away, as you usually edit again right after, this causes edit conflicts and can be rather inconveniencing. Thank-you.--SUIT42 23:21, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Beast.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Beast.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hey, Thanks! You did good on the article too! I think it would be good if we could keep in touch and exchange ideas on how to clean it up more. Majin Vegeta

Sure, I will keep in touch, I will write on this talk page when I see a way we can improve it-Dark Dragon Flame 20:48, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Z-sword

[edit]

I will soon start cleaning this section any sugestions you have just post them on my talk page, it seems like the split tag might not be nessesary anymore so I will suggest that it be removed. Also lately an user called Finfan8499 has been constatly changing Goku's height from 5'7 to 6'1 I went to his talk page and warned him not to do so without a source or disscusion but he keeps doing it can I ask your help keeping an eye on him? any help is appreciated-Dark Dragon Flame 22:35, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually I just noticed you started cleaning, funny that it happened while I was writting that-Dark Dragon Flame 22:38, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

LOL! Yeah, I started cleaning, feel free to remove that "Z sword" tag and make it one with the Buu Saga thing, I changed the name to Defeat of Buu or something, the Z sword doesn't really have much to do with Goku anyway. Majinvegeta
Ps: I will keep an eye on that, Goku's full grown height is 5'7, it's stated in the Daizenshuu.

I added a little to the tag so it would say "Super Buu and Defeat of Kid Buu", I think it's better to keep them separated since they are basically different Buus and if we fuse the sections it might seem too long-Dark Dragon Flame 23:09, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, good choice. Majin Vegeta

Voice Actors

[edit]

I think we should remove the links to the voice actors without page, the biggest chance is that they never get a page like in most cases, and it kind of takes a little out of the visual part. What do you think?-Dark Dragon Flame 17:43, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, their names could still be there, just not the links. There is no point in having a link if there's no page to go to. Majin Vegeta

I'm only talkin' about this here because of your past arguements with Super Atomic SUIT. Shouldn't the article be moved/renamed Grandpa Son Gohan? I mean, Goku didn't get his last name from outta nowhere, right? Son obviously came from old man Gohan that found Kakarotto and raised him, giving him the name Son Goku. Shall we discuss this further on the appropiate talk page? PL(DB) 22:57, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That was my argument all along, but no one (but you) agrees with me. "Son" Gohan is Grandpa Gohan's actual name, that is where Goku got the "Son" from. Majin Vegeta
Agreed, should I request a survey/discussion on the Grandpa Gohan talk page? Or do you suggest otherwise? PL(DB) 15:22, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
A move/rename to Grandpa Son Gohan rather than Son Gohan sounds more fitting because a Son Gohan does already exist, and there isn't any other way to rename his article (any other way would be wierd anyways, and besides, a "Grandpa" sounds better to distinguish one character from the other, right?). I guess that's the only thing Mr. SUIT was right about though. PL(DB) 15:26, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Agree. Majin Vegeta
Very well. I shall warrant a quick poll and create a discussion on its' talk page. (Me | The Article) 17:15, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Good Friend! Just Saying Hi and telling you that I supported the Poll Majin Vegeta
All you do, Power level, is set up polls. There are other ways to discuss things you know--SUIT42 23:25, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You say that "all I do is set up polls", correct? Did you even read why I even made that poll? I guess I'll say it again: THE POLL EXISTS AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO REACHING CONSENSUS! Mr. Atomic Suit, please don't antagonize me further about this. Read what I write before questioning my actions, okay? Besides, there has to be consensus made before a drastic move like this is made (Since you and someone else insisted that the page should not be renamed Grandpa Son Gohan.) And look, I know you're practically watching me 24/7 right? Why not give your opinions to my surveys/discussion instead of comment on my actions? (Me | The Article) 23:46, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
SUIT, I thought there was a discussion set up by Power Level. Am I wrong? --Majinvegeta 02:03, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No, I did set it up just below the survey. Mr. Atomic Suit is just being uncival towards me. Maybe I should warn him about this since he's done it before. Thanks for your vote, Majin Vegeta, and your age too! In case ya didn't see mine, I'm 20 ;}! (Me | The Article) 02:14, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What is up with this guy? (Me | The Article) 02:56, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I dunno, and why my page was chosen for an arguement that I'm not even involved in is beyond me... :/ ... :) I find it quite humorous actually. --Majinvegeta 03:04, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What I don't understand is that why does he and JZG oppose the move to Grandpa Son Gohan? Just because of some discussion last year? If ya ask me, it seems (not to offend them in any way) that they are sort of hesitant to give a real reason why they won't agree with the move. That's all... (Me | The Article) 03:30, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Agree, Sometimes change is for the better. In this case (in my opinion) it is. --Majinvegeta 03:42, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

GREAT! It's been moved to Grandpa Son Gohan! However, a user Poetic Decay seemingly disagreed with the move and reverted it back. However, it appears that the person understood the move and didn't respond back when I reverted his move. So, let's be happy with it for now... (Me | The Article) 23:43, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Um, "Houston, we have a problem here". (Me | The Article) 04:13, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Goku's hidden potential

[edit]

Somebody just added a setion by this name to me it kind of looks like unessesary info that has already been writen somewhere else in the page, I personally don't think we should keep it but I wanted to see the opinion of somebody that has worked hard on the page-Dark Dragon Flame 02:01, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agree, A whole section doesn't need to be made for something that is controversial if it even exists, I've never really considered Goku even having one. Also the main issue with this article was that it was too long, it had pointless and unnessecary things in it. I think it can be mentioned, but the section removed. --Majinvegeta 06:19, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok then, have you ever considered joining WikiProject: Dragon Ball, I already joined and I was wondering if you were interested, I mean we need all the help we can get keeping the Dragon Ball pages in top shape and you do a great job cleaning up pages, so what do you say?-Dark Dragon Flame 08:43, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hannibal support characters

[edit]

Here is the article I have started. People that I was thinking could be featured on the list are: Barney Matthews, Ardelia Mapp, Molly Graham, Senator Ruth Martin, Catherine Martin, Benjamin Raspail, Carlo (one of the Sardinians from "Hannibal"), the other Sardinians (names would be nice, I'll look them up), Mr. Jacov (Hannibal's tutor when he was younger), Rinaldo Pazzi (I could've sworn there was an article about him, but someone erased it I think.) Laura Pazzi (Pazzi's wife, her name was switched to Allegra in the movie) and if there are any others you can think of, please feel free to add to this list. ;) --Majinvegeta 06:17, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A new Dragon Ball attack list

[edit]

I should let ya know too. Whenever you can, please see Talk:List of Dragon Ball special abilities#Garlic Gun. If you see that Garlic Gun there, that is just a sample of how the techniques should be classified and titled. I am going to change all of the techniques on the list (except Kamehameha, Dodonpa, Genki Dama, Kaio Ken and any others that were used as romaji names in the English manga/anime) into their literal English translation in about five days from now. This change will be similar as to how Bardock was changed to Burdock (name pun) and Hercule to Mr. Satan (which was his original Japanese/romaji name). Please comment on anything else if you have something you may want to add on to it. Thanks! Power level (Dragon Ball) 00:06, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

About Goku's height.

[edit]

Hello, my name is Charles and I would like to ask you about Goku's height. I saw your opinion well at the "Talk:Son Goku (Dragon Ball)" site. I also want to believe Goku's height is about 170cm(5'7") as the Daizenshuu says. However, I found an interesting material saying his height is 175cm. I wouldn't think highly of this if this claim is on a private site, but this fact that Goku's height is 175cm is on a Japanese wikipedia page. Because Japan is where Dragonball series were born, I carefully propose that Goku's height could actually be 175cm as the Japanese wikipeia page says. If his height is really 5'7" as the Daizenshuu states, I would like you to prove that 5'7" is height of not 'growing' Goku, but 'fully-grown' Goku, and retort the content on the Japanese wikipedia page that Goku's height is 175cm. Here's the site that insists Goku's height is 175cm. [1]--Hilight 06:24, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That is rather interesting... It could've been a translation error when they re-wrote the Daizenshuu in English, but that is was it says. Guess you can never be sure. --Majinvegeta 06:41, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dragonball Wiki

[edit]
  • Hi there. I noticed you're a member of Wikiproject Dragonball, and I'm trying to recruit some people from that to contribute to the Dragon Ball Wiki. It's in terrible shape right now with pretty much no consistency or policies, and only this week have I been able to get Angela and Sannse to create some Forums for us over there. I've got a proposed Manual of Style going over there and would like some people to contribute to that to set up some policies and start making the wiki bigger, better, and more intelligible/consistent. If you're interested, please hop on over or talk to me. Thanks for the time, whether you're interested or not. Wildyoda 02:28, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A little question

[edit]

Hey there just wanted to ask f you might be interested in helping me in turning an unencyclopedic toned article into one that's written in an encyclopedic-Wikified one, although the aticle (Dante) isn't related to Dragon Ball or the project I contacted you because you do the writting part better than me and you can probably do a better job, thanks for your time. -Dark Dragon Flame 20:05, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sure I can help, I don't know anything about this character from Devil May Cry, but I'll see what I can do. I'll re-word anything you need, and the cool thing is that since I don't know anything about this series, I can learn some things too! ;) --Majinvegeta 20:16, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's great, thanks! -Dark Dragon Flame 20:22, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No prob, I actually already started. I pretty much re-assembled the entire article into what I believe to be an "encyclopedic" format, and I redid the entire opening paragraph. It explains more of where in media Dante is featured instead of random info about the character. I gave the article a separate section for his appearence. Hopefully people don't get pissed and revert. I think maybe the main picture on the page should be changed, it's kinda hard to see Dante because the pic's so dark. I already shrunk it down to 250px instead of 300, I took out his martial status (NPOV), and I reassembled his releatives in a list format. This'll be fun, just tell me If you want to do anything with the article in partucular, and I'll see what I can do to help. --Majinvegeta 20:28, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Devil May Cry

[edit]
Me here, I just had a talk with Boradis (that guy from Dante's talk page) and I am establishing a WikiProject about Devil May Cry so that there can be order in those pages, I think you are good at doing the rewording work and I was wondering if you might be intersted in joining, if you are interested in supporting my project please sing under Interested Wikipedians in the Devil May Cry entry here, thanks again for your time. -Dark Dragon Flame 06:21, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Userbox

[edit]
Thanks for your support, I designed an userbox for the project already what do you think?
This Wikipedian is a member of the WikiProject Devil May Cry

Awesome! Thanks. And thanks for reverting to my version on the article, but it still needs a ton of work. I'm not adding info to the article like Bordias assumes, just rewording and putting in the more encyclopedic format. He seems to be getting pissed, this may become an editing war. I'm going to put this userbox on my page right now. I love it! --Majinvegeta 07:39, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No need to worry about him he may be hotheaded sometimes but he isn't reverting it again he has cooled down, either way if an war explodes I will just talk to him I'm sure he will understand see you tommorow, Cheers! -Dark Dragon Flame 07:44, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Devil May Cry

[edit]

Just dropped in to try and mend fences here and get thoughts on improving the DMC pages. I'd like your thoughts on what else the Dante page needs, and to ask for input on the others. Oh, and also to let you know I've done some further updates to the recent changes to correct some typos and minor errors of fact. Anyhow, I'm going to try and consolidate the Games subsection so it's more in line with the structure of the Featured version of the [Link] page. --Boradis 05:25, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

DMC Template proposal

[edit]

I've currently proposed a totally new navigation box for the Devil May Cry template. I'd very much appreciate your comments on the navbox, if you'd care to take a look. If you support the navbox, please indicate this on the talk page. Cheers, Lankybuggerspeaksee18:30, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Devil May Cry nominated for Featured Article

[edit]
Please vote and make your suggestions here -- 18:39, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. we need some help with Devil May Cry 3, care to join?

Great job on editing the article...do you think we should nominate it for FA?--CyberGhostface 03:49, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, and perhaps we should nominate in the near future, But I definitely still think that it needs work, feel free to jump in on editing any time and I see that you have already done that! :) I was thinking maybe some more pics near the end of the article. I added a few, and then I switched a few around. The problem with this article is that there are too many details and it's hard to stay focused when reading it. --Majinvegeta 12:51, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
