Help me![edit]

Please help me with Neron (DC Comics). I want to change Reference 38 to Reference 8b.Malcolmlucascollins

Malcolmlucascollins (talk) 20:11, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Helped
Hi Malcolm. Almost all of the references currently used in Neron (DC Comics) are offline/unlinked. I think you should start a new section on Talk:Neron (DC Comics) describing why you want to change the reference. If you have any questions, you are always welcome to ask me on my talk page, although you are guaranteed quicker feedback at the Wikipedia:Teahouse. Happy editing, Sam Sailor 11:00, 1 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Additions to two Gamera film articles[edit]

I noticed that Gamera 2: Attack of Legion and Gamera 3: The Revenge of Iris don't have their Japanese titles translated into English like the other Gamera films do. If this could be done, that would be nice. Also, I don't think that the word "kaiju" needs to be italicized in all of the Gamera film articles, but that's just me, I guess. If action could be taken on this, thanks!Malcolmlucascollins (talk) 22:16, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Fixing Migratory woodland caribou[edit]

Can someone please fix the first sentence of the section "Distribution and abundance of caribou in Quebec"? Part of it is missing.Malcolmlucascollins (talk) 22:52, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Done Missing sentence restored, but the whole article is in need of an overhaul. Loopy30 (talk) 18:44, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Fixing Castle of Frankenstein[edit]

Can someone please fix this article so that the picture has the caption Castle of Frankenstein #10 (front cover)? I tried to do it, but couldn't. Also, please leave in the information on Dennis Druktenis' revival of the two magazines because it is correct.Malcolmlucascollins (talk) 03:31, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Adding to Blood of Dracula and The Return of Dracula[edit]

I'd like to suggest that someone should add pictures of the theatrical release posters of both Blood of Dracula and The Return of Dracula to their respective Wikipedia articles. It would, IMO, help out those two articles a lot.Malcolmlucascollins (talk) 03:43, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Adding to Dracula's Dog[edit]

Also, I'd like to suggest that the illustration in the Wikipedia article Dracula's Dog should be changed from the DVD cover to the theatrical release poster, thus matching the article's title.Malcolmlucascollins (talk) 03:43, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Trying to edit the Gamera articles and the List of Daiei Films article[edit]

I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but every time that I try to add new and accurate information into the various articles about Gamera and Daiei Films, someone keeps taking it out! For example, I found out long ago that Daimajin and Gamera vs. Barugon (in that order) were released as a double feature in Japan. But shortly after I put this in, the next thing I know, it's gone-and the same thing happens whenever I add anything to these articles and the List of Daiei Films article. Can someone please tell me what in the world is going on here? This is the only time that this has happened consistently. Am I hurting someone's feelings here? If so, I'm very sorry. Honest I am. But the info that I'm adding is true and valid!Malcolmlucascollins (talk) 23:14, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Malcolmlucascollins. If you want to add content to wikipedia, make sure you have a reliable source as we do not post original research. Current content you have been adding/changing there has not been what is reflected in the sourced content. Take it up on the talk pages of the specific articles if you have issues. Fixing the References list in the "Godzilla (Main Theme)" article[edit]

Can someone please fix the "Toho Kaiju" reference in the above article by putting a line above the "u" in "Kaiju"? I don't know how to do it and it had one before.Malcolmlucascollins (talk) 05:31, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Fixing Romance Novels in List of lesbian fiction[edit]

Can someone please restore the Elle Wrylee section of Romance Novels in List of lesbian fiction to what it was before?Malcolmlucascollins (talk) 16:16, 22 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Fixing List of Batman comics[edit]

There are a few things that need to be done to this article. First, four books need to be put in: Batman/Teenage Mutant Turtles Adventures (in Collected Crossover Editions) and Batman: Black and White Volume 1, Volume 2, and Volume 3 (in Other), all in Miscellaneous collections. Second, I added the original edition of Bruce Wayne - Murderer? using information from the Bruce Wayne: Fugitive Wikipedia article. This article says that the ISBN is invalid, yet I know that copied it from the previous article. Can someone please fix this and tell me what I did wrong? Malcolmlucascollins (talk) 17:25, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Limited series is the correct term[edit]

Please don't go around changing it to "miniseries" in every article you come across.★Trekker (talk) 21:50, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for January 13[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of recently extinct bird species, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Smith (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Please preview, consolidate, and summarize[edit]

Hello, and thanks for your contributions. Below are a few editing suggestions to make it easier for you and others to collaborate on the encyclopedia. Please preview, consolidate, and summarize your edits:

  • Try to consolidate your edits, at least at the section level, to avoid cluttering the page's edit history; this makes it easier for your fellow editors to understand your intentions, and makes it easier for those monitoring activity on the article.
    • The show preview button (beside the "publish changes" button) is helpful for this; use it to view your changes incrementally before finally saving the page once you're satisfied with your edits.
  • Please remember to explain each edit with an edit summary (box above the "publish changes" button).

Thanks in advance for considering these suggestions. Eric talk 13:03, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again, Malcolm. Thanks for your edits to the northern flicker article. Once again, it would be helpful to the rest of us if you would follow the above suggestions. Eric talk 12:23, 22 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Malcolm, is there anything in the above suggestions that you have trouble understanding? I would be glad to help you if you are struggling with the concepts there. Eric talk 20:29, 4 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Malcolm, I see that you continue to make many separate little edits per session instead of grouping them, and that you are not providing edit summaries. Please don't be bashful about asking the community for help if there is something in the concept that eludes you. Eric talk 14:50, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

July 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Northern flicker does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Also, don't forget to cite sources: WP:CITE. Eric talk 11:54, 9 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Northern flicker edits[edit]

Hello Malcolm-

  • Please note that Wikipedia policy calls for providing sources for information such as that you added regarding flickers on Guadalupe Island. Guidance here: WP:CITE.
  • I noticed that you restored the links I removed from two common words in the above article. I undid that. You can find relevant guidance here: MOS:OVERLINK.
  • The manual of style also advises against beginning a sentence with a numeral: Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Dates_and_numbers#Numbers_as_figures_or_words. I restored the 10 in the Taxonomy section to ten. I also changed the 12 in the preceding sentence to twelve just for consistency.

Finally, as a general rule, it is better to discuss issues with other editors rather than simply reverting changes to maintain your preferred version. Eric talk 12:27, 11 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Daiei[edit]

Hi Malcolmlucascollins. I'd have to go through a few of the Galbraith books. The Toho one would not likely have it as its predominantly focused on films Toho either produced or distributed. As it was distributing some of Toei's films as the 90s crept in (namely Gamera films, etc.), they were included. In his book the Japanese filmography, the film is sadly not included (it jumps from Rainbow Kids, Rainbow Bridge and even Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer which was a Japanese and American co-production. As for re-naming the article, I believe at one point it was under the impression that the company was called "Daiei Film" (as the wiki article is listed as Daiei Film). So I guess the actual article title should be "List of Daiei Film productions" as "List of Daieie Film films" sounds a little more strange. What do you think? Andrzejbanas (talk) 02:40, 10 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. Just as a heads up as you seem to be interested in the Daiei films, I can try to look up some films, but per WP:BURDEN, if you want material added to these lists or content added with sources to the article, it's up to you to find them. I would suggest we work together. As for the official titles, if you could confirm whether or not they are official titles or translated titles in Ragone's book, that would help a lot. Andrzejbanas (talk) 05:42, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

My talk page[edit]

Could you please stop making mild edits to your posts on my talk page. I get notices every time someone leaves a message on my page, I keep checking to see if you write something new but its just you making mild edits to spelling or adding small bits of information. I would suggest reading WP:BURDEN again. If you want this information added to articles, or have the articles created, its up to you to find the information. January 2020[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Underworld Unleashed; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 23:15, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your edits to Rottweiler. However, I have undone some of them because of unnecessary changing of link syntax (along with link breakage for the link about carts), as well as violation of the Manual of Style about abbreviations (we don't use periods/full stops in abbreviations) and spelling out numbers. In particular, we never use "U.K.". Also keep in mind the above message by Eric; your failure to heed it is disruptive and may land you with a block. Graham87 04:58, 23 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

November 2020[edit]

Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits to Underworld Unleashed while logged out. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting and doing so may result in your account being blocked from editing. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Please stop freely switching between your registered username and the IP range Special:Contributions/2600:1700:7E31:5710:0:0:0:0/64. Take a look at the WP:MULTIPLE guideline for an explanation.
