Admin Coaching

Hi! I am Leujohn, and am currently looking for an admin coach. I noticed that you had one more space, so may I ask if I could fill in that empty space? Thanks in advance. Leujohn (talk, stalk me?) 10:24, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the quick reply. Please put me on your waiting list, as bliblio is also currently full. By the way, thanks for giving me those comments, because that was pretty much my editor review! If you want to put more stuff on my editor review, feel free to do so. he link is the "How did I do" link in my new signature. Leujohn (talk, How did I do?) 08:47, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

"I believe" is a personal opinion. This google preview shows how it was quoted and it counts as their account of the proverb because it's at least someone recording the proverb. even the other links from this page say "speak softly" McCain can be seen during the debate referring to Teddy Roosevelt first saying "walk softly" then correcting as "talk softly" even though it's technically a misquote since Roosevelt said "speak softly". You need a reference that shows that the proverb was originally "walk softly", not just personal knowledge. Do you know of a source that shows that it was written or recorded somehow as "walk softly"? -Tsinoyman (talk) 03:20, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the support!

Thanks for supporting me at my successful Rfa! As you said, I kind of wish I'd gotten some article building experience before doing the Rfa, as it would have been less of a nail-biter! There's nothing stopping me from getting it now, though! Cheers!--Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 17:26, 15 November 2008 (UTC)

My Rfa

Malinaccier, thank you very much for participating in my Rfa, which was successful with 80 Support, 5 Oppose, 6 Neutral. The comments were overwhelming, and hopefully I can live up to the expectation of the community.

I would also like to thank my nominator Realist2 and my co-nom Orane (talk), and special mention to Acalamari and Lenticel (talk) for the kindness from the start. Regards, Efe

RE: Coaching

Hey. I understand what you mean, thanks for your input. My current problem at the moment is that I don't really have a specific area, rather several that I come across whilst editing. The only reason for me to have tools is to help me with my editing and dealing with users who come in the way of that. For example, I may need to protect pages but I know that I'm kinda weak in that area. Any ideas for that? —Cyclonenim (talk · contribs · email) 22:30, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

That sounds like a good idea to me; I don't feel I need a full-blown coaching course but rather just little bits of advice here and there so that I feel confident making decisions as an administrator. —Cyclonenim (talk · contribs · email) 22:37, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
Smashing. Thanks again for this, I've posted my initial replies. —Cyclonenim (talk · contribs · email) 23:23, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

Mizu onna sango15Hello!

A little review

Hey. This evening I've been trying to get a bit more involved at AfD, placing some comments there (not nominating, yet). Any chance you could have a quick look over and see if they're "correct" (or at least not idiotic). Also, in future would you like me to place comments like this here or at the dedicated page? Cheers! —Cyclonenim (talk · contribs · email) 21:20, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

RfA thanks

The RfA Barnstar
Malinaccier, I would like to thank you for your participation in my recent Request for Adminship, which passed with 112 supports, 4 opposes and 5 neutrals. A special mention goes out to Stwalkerster and Pedro for nominating me, thanks a lot for having trust in me! In response to the neutrals, I will try to double check articles that have been tagged for speedy deletion before I CSD them and will start off slowly with the drama boards of ANI and AN to ensure that I get used to them. In response to the oppose !votes on my RfA, I will check that any images I use meet the non-free content criteria and will attempt to handle any disputes or queries as well as I can. If you need my help at all, feel free to simply ask at my talk page and I'll see if I can help. Once again, thank you for your participation, and have a great day! :) The Helpful One 22:10, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
