[edit]

Problems with using shared IP 194.203.201.92 due to another user not respecting Wikipedia protocol.

This blocked user's request to have autoblock on their IP address lifted has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request.

Block message:

Abusing multiple accounts: per checkuser

Decline reason: This account appears to have zero edits, was created only within the last couple of days, and edits from the ip, shared or not, appear to be primarily unconstructive. I would encourage you to edit from home if your business IP is blocked (as you wouldn't have been able to create an account otherwise). If you'd like, please contact your network's abuse team at [1] to encourage them to resolve the issue of abuse from your range (allocated to "Hoare Govett Services"). — slakrtalk / 09:28, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is a checkuser block, based on information that only trusted admins can review. I'm contacting the checkuser who enacted the block to find out what's going on--please be patient. Blueboy96 13:55, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for all of the trouble you are having. I've sent another email to the related checkuser. I'm sorry it is taking so long to resolve it. Are you editing from a different IP address at the moment? I will get back to you when I hear from them (hopefully some time today). - Rjd0060 (talk) 14:40, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You should not have an issue editing whilst logged in as Manchester Warrior. If there is an autoblock, please note the autoblock number here. Thank you. -- Avi (talk) 14:57, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Avraham, the IP he usually edits from is hardblocked. - Rjd0060 (talk) 15:04, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ah. Unfortunately, the hardblock cannot be lifted at this time, as its efficacy has been proven. -- Avi (talk) 17:05, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

With respect to the hardblock on IP 194.203.201.92, which is in place until May 2009, is it possible instead to have IP Block exemption for IP 194.203.201.92 but just for my user name (Manchester Warrior) ? N.B. Block ID is #1208753.

I'm sorry, but currently available technical evidence indicates that applying IPblock exemption to this account would not be appropriate. -- Avi (talk) 02:49, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Avi, Thanks for your note. Have to say that I don't follow the comment as regards 'available technical evidence' unless this relates to the problems caused by one or more others using IP 194.203.201.92. (N.B. I understand that there are potentially hundreds of other Wiki users affected by the autoblock as this is a shared IP address). As a work-around solution, if IP Block Exemption is not possible for me (Manchester Warrior) at this time (and reviewing the edit history of IP 194.203.201.92, I can understand why this administrators might decide this), I guess that I'll have to establish a personal editing track record using my 'Manchester Warrior' user name, by logging in from elsewhere, in which case, presumably the request for IP Block exemption might be re-considered at some time in the future if the block on IP 194.203.201.92 remains in place.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Firs Park may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
