Jeff stinson

The article Jeff stinson has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Re your message: Looking for the previously deleted revision of the article, I recommend that you do not recreate the article. Since he is only considering becoming a candidate, it is unlikely that he meets the criteria for notability for politicians for inclusion on Wikipedia. Generally, a politician must either hold an office or have significant press coverage to have an article. I recommend that you read over the notability guideline. There is a specific section on politicians there. -- Gogo Dodo 05:02, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

Re your message: No, probably not. Dan Branch, if you mean the Representative to the Texas House of Representatives, would be notable, but being his political advisor is not likely to meet the guideline for notability. -- Gogo Dodo 05:20, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

The point about Jeff is that he is what we call "not yet notable"; until such time as there is a substantial amount of media coverage of him, any attempts to create a page about him will come off as astroturfing. The fact that the first version of the page was created by username "Stinse" is not a good sign, for instance. DS 14:05, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
