Article expansion requests? I just wanted to know why it was deleted, since there was no article history to refer to after it is deleted. I needed to know the reason for the delete before I try to recreate it. If (helpme) is not the way to do this, please let me know the correct way. Mapetite526 17:27, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

Also, how do I request that it be undeleted? I can defend the article, if given the chance. The term is used in several other articles so I thought it was needed. I was going to expand it, which is why it had a stub notice. Mapetite526 17:22, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

Contested prods, i.e. Cop math

A contested {{prod}} -- like the one on Cop math -- isn't vandalism. Even if the owner removes the {{prod}} tag in bad faith, it's not considered vandalism and is considered legitimate. If the {{prod}} tag is removed, it must not be returned to the article (see WP:PROD#Conflicts). (I have AfDed the article in question for you.) Thanks! --JStalk 05:43, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

Why did you delete my article?

My article on the 8th century sufi saint Abu Hubairah Basri was important to list all links in the Chistiya Chain. Why did you remove it?

I did not delete it. I only marked it for one of the admins to review. They must have agreed with my tag. Since I marked it as a bio of a non-notable person, they must have thought so too. You could try putting {{helpme}} on your talk page to ask them why. Mapetite526 18:13, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

Please don't assume bigotry. It is not necessarily that the person is not notable, but that the article does not explain why the person is notable. Often what is needed is more information, perhaps citations, that explain why the person is notable. Mapetite526 21:33, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

I am not assuming bigotry, I can see it. You are screaming about your religion all over your profile which is fine with me. However you then get the bio of a 1000 year old saint deleted, just because he does not belong to your religion! Your decision was so abrupt that I saw the tag before I could finish fine tuning the article. Obviously you did not read it to see that he was a vital link in a much celebrated chain. The problem here is not that of explaining the copyright situation. You have already discussed that. The problem here was Mapetite526 considering the saint unimportant and getting it deleted. This decision was so speedy that it took place before I could finish giving it touches. The purpose of the article Poor Wedding Guests seemed to be to say that Jews are better than Christians. That is viewed as an attack on Christians. Mapetite526 22:27, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

I did not mean to say, "Jews are better than Christians." All I said was, when it comes to inviting the homeless and the very poor to wedding feasts and other festive occasions, religious Jews behave more in accordance with the teachings of Jesus than Christians do. This is a simple statement of fact. At most, it can be seen as constructive criticism. Instead of feeling offended or "attacked," Christians should examine their lives and their behavior, and see if they can act more in accordance with the teachings and instructions of Jesus. This is positive and constructive. In no way it is an attack on anybody.Das Baz 18:48, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Do you have any cites to prove that Jews do this, but Christians don't? Also, even by saying "Christians should examine their lives and their behavior and see if they can act more in accordance with the teachings and instructions of Jesus" you're still in essence saying that there is something wrong with Christians here and that Jews are better. You can call it constructive criticism if you want to, but even if it is constructive criticism, it doesn't belong in Wikipedia. Mapetite526 18:56, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

You raise some good points here. I have never heard of any Christians keeping this custom (or commandment), but it may be some Christians do. Who knows? Do you know of any? But perhaps you are right, and it is better not to include anything that could be seen as negative. So how about something like this:

A serial speedy deleter?

I thought your response to the LDRA Testbed was rather over the top and when I read your discussion page I see that you are well on the way to being a serial speedy deleter. There are lots of pages that describe products. I have no commercial interest in LDRA Testbed and simply created it to put all of the material in one place. Why don't you let article develop, rather than causing them to be deleted within a few hours of being created? Derek farn 15:52, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

Good to see you diving in to the William Connolley debate. However, don't accuse me of vandalism and remove things that aren't vandalistic in the same edit. The stuff about him being a local councillor is not notable and should not be in his article. So I've reverted your deletion and if you revert it again I will report _you_ for vandalism. Please sign your comments so that I know who I am talking to. :) In answer to your question, weasel words are things like "some people say" and the like, where it is not noted who exactly holds the opinion.
