AfD nomination of Piedmont Baptist College

[edit]

I've nominated Piedmont Baptist College, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Piedmont Baptist College satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Piedmont Baptist College and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Piedmont Baptist College during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Angus McLellan (Talk) 17:29, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies

[edit]

Sorry I put an AfD notice on your PBC article. When I first saw it, I thought it was an awfully long article to appear all at once, and when I googled a few phrases, I found the text on The Dispatch On-line (whatever that might be). Because your article was so new, it was easy to conclude that your article was plagiarized.

I've actually read my own words in my local paper, taken (without attribution) from Wikipedia. My wife even said they even sounded like me. When I googled those words, I found that they had been published in other newspapers as well. All the best,John Foxe 20:05, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Marcus. As I said to John, it's me who should be apologising. So please accept my apology for any worries you had! All the best, Angus McLellan (Talk) 22:16, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Charles Stevens (pastor) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
