Welcome to wikipedia!

[edit]

Hi MariaElle, happy new year and welcome to wikipedia. I saw Draft:Qilombo because you added a wikiproject anarchism template to its talk page. It's great that you want to add an article about this social centre to wikipedia :) I think in its current state the article would probably not be approved for publication, purely because it doesn't quite fit the wikipedia style, which you can see at articles for other social centres such as Red Emma's, Bluestockings (bookstore) and Forte Prenestino. I do think Qilombo passes Wikipedia:Notability_(organizations_and_companies)#Primary_criteria and I'd be happy to work on the page with you if you like. Just leave me a message here or on my talkpage at User_talk:Mujinga and we can discuss further. Cheers! Mujinga (talk) 19:23, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hey thanks for the reply on my talk page! What i'll do is make some comments at Draft_talk:Qilombo and please ask me if something doesn't make sense. There's definitely lots of things to learn as regards editing wikikpedia but anyone can learn and I'd say it's definitely worth the journey. Cheers! Mujinga (talk) 20:57, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That's nice to see a notification about this on my watchlist. Congratulations on your first article MariaElle! Mujinga (talk) 10:39, 4 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! MariaElle (talk) 04:21, 5 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hiya in case you start editing again in the next few months, I was wondering if you'd like to propose Qilombo as a good article together? Cheers, Mujinga (talk) 15:25, 6 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Mujinga! Yes, I'd love to do that. Thank you so much for all the work you put into making this a better article. What do we need to do to propose it as a good article? MariaElle (talk) 03:52, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oh great that you are still around! Well I suppose there's two ways to do it, either you can nominate it and I'll support, or I'll nominate and you can follow the process. I'm fine with either approach - maybe have a read of Wikipedia:Good_article_nominations/Instructions and see what you think? It partly depends on how much time you have, but there's no rush and it's worth noting that if we nominate the article, it could well take months before somebody picks it up for review. Mujinga (talk) 10:00, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
OK I went ahead and nominated it! Mujinga (talk) 09:02, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yay, thank you so much for doing this! So now we wait for someone to pick it up for review? Or is there something else I'm supposed to do? I read the article you linked to and didn't see a step between nomination and waiting for review - please let me know if I missed something. Thanks again for all your support with this! MariaElle (talk) 02:11, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry missed your reply - yes we simply wait for someone to start the review, which could be at any point in the next months. When the review is opened feel free to start replying, if I see it first I'll drop you a line and wait a few days before starting. The review is supposed to be done over the course of a week or so, but everything is flexible with communication. As a last point, you're welcome to add any improvements to the article as we wait, it doesn't need to be set in stone. Cheers, Mujinga (talk) 20:42, 19 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Great, thank you!! MariaElle (talk) 19:21, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thumbs up! Mujinga (talk) 08:51, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Qilombo

[edit]

The article Qilombo you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needing to be addressed. If these are fixed within 7 days, the article will pass; otherwise it may fail. See Talk:Qilombo and Talk:Qilombo/GA1 for issues which need to be addressed. Your GA nomination of Qilombo

[edit]

The article Qilombo you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Qilombo for comments about the article, and Talk:Qilombo/GA1 for the nomination. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. — Golden call me maybe? 14:32, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
