Copyright violations, Conflict of interest policy[edit]

Dear Maria rivas, if you are indeed, the subject of the María Rivas article, you will need to thoroughly review the conflict of interest guideline. You should not edit or create articles about yourself, your family, or friends, as you would be unable to edit them neutrally'. Neutrality is one of the core policies of Wikipedia, and I'd request that you review them all.

Additionally, the information being added is in direct violation of Wikipedia copyright policy, as it is copied and pasted word-for-word from this site. These core policies are not negotiable, and as it is probable that you were the anonymous IP previously editing, who had been warned 3 times already, I will caution you yet again against adding copyrighted material to this article. Please discuss the article on the article's talk page, so other, neutral, third-party editors may add the information if appropriate, and properly source and cite it. Thank you, ArielGold 16:08, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Response to message[edit]

As I mentioned above, If you are indeed, María Rivas then not only are there the obvious copy/paste violations from the page you continue to paste from, http://www.ejn.it/mus/rivas.htm, but you also are going against the WP:COI guideline. As I have mentioned on your talk page, and I'll again mention by repeating this reply there, Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and I thoroughly explained how you could go about getting that material to the article: By asking on the article's talk page, explaining you are the subject, and therefore should not edit the article, include the information with proper sources, and allow a neutral third party editor to add the appropriate material. These are core policies, I'd strongly encourage you to review the core policies of Wikipedia. Thanks! ArielGold 16:32, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Final warning[edit]

Maria rivas, I am not going to continue to revert your continued insistence of adding copyrighted material to the above mentioned article. This is not a negotiable policy, for obvious legal reasons. If you continue to paste information from the page http://www.ejn.it/mus/rivas.htm, you will be blocked for violating copyright policy. I have very thoroughly explained to you how to get that information into the article without violating policy, and you continue to ignore my advice and warnings. Please review the copyright policy and conflict of interest guideline. Then, once you've read them, use the article's talk page to request a neutral, third party editor review the information, properly source and cite it, and add it to the article if appropriate. Please also review the biographies of living persons policy. Thank you, ArielGold 16:37, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on María Rivas. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors.
