You talk a lot about the history and uses of incense burners. What exactly are you saying about the information relating to the practices and accounts of these incense being used. Are you referencing the history being told in your academic peer-reviewed sources and summarizing all the different types of uses and involvements of all types of incenses among different cultures. Maybe make it a clearer what exactly is your topic is. Whether it is about what incense is made of or the different cultures that use it, give an overall theme to what you’re focusing on. It starts off with referencing one group uses then switches to another group and topic in the second but doesn’t focus on the same things and talks about other uses such as time. I think if you wish to discuss time, religion, and shapes of incense burners perhaps find similarities or differences among groups and possibly discuss how they are different and why are they are different in compliment to how you are describing their history, uses, and what they are comprised of.

You have solid academic resources; it would be nice to see more scholarly research on the scientific benefits of Incense or any studies relating to it. One of your sources talks about the rethinking of Maya Censers, how about including what they were thought of before and what interpretations may have been made on items such as theses throughout history. How did these items come to be, were they passed down or rediscovered in time. Overall, I really enjoy your topic and I learned a lot about incense. I don’t see many grammar errors and such, however, the Mesoamerica is a bit hard to follow if you don’t know about the history or some of the terms. Some of the words I had to look up like incensarios and terminal classic period. You briefly discuss what they are made of, how about going further and including what other ingredients were used by groups used to make them like a recipe book. Finally, how do incense heal the sick. What research has shown that people actually received better health as a result of offering divine beings and deities’ things. great job
