Air China[edit]

After all your recent clean-up work, the CA article looks so much better. Great job! jasepl (talk) 08:01, 2 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Shanghai Airlines[edit]

Hi! I noticed Your edit removed the company headquarters without stating why in the edit summary

An image of the company headquarters need to be in the article. If you think the image clutters up the page, then make a gallery section (gallery sections are okay until articles begin to be improved into "Featured Article" candidates) WhisperToMe (talk) 02:17, 5 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Because after the merger, they have changed the headquarter and move to the China Eastern's Office.

Well, the old HQ should still be there anyway, just to show historically that's where they were. But the airline still lists its office at the Shanghai Airlines office. Once the airline lists its address as China Eastern's, then you can revise the image tag to say "former headquarters"

BTW, are you in China or are you outside of China? If you are in China I have some photo requests that would help Wikipedia WhisperToMe (talk) 02:55, 5 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I am in Germany. :)

Ah, I see. I do have some photo requests in Germany too.
They are airline offices in Frankfurt, Cologne, Stuttgart, Dortmund, and Hanover. If you are in proximity to north Italy, there's a request from the Trieste area too.

China Eastern Airlines[edit]

Hello, I just want to sort the problems about China Eastern out; the formatting of fleet table is there to be consistent with airlines such as Singapore Airline, Thai Airways International, Cathay Pacific, China Airlines, EVA Air, and a whole heap of other airline articles. Now remember, these tables have been changed by others, not me. So, telling me not to do whatever I want is a bit too far. I am doing what I'm doing to keep the articles consistent. No one has come forward to point out that what I'm doing is inappropriate, so please don't post on mu talk page those kinds of comments. Hope you get the idea Sp33dyphil (Talk) (Contributions)(Feed back needed @ Talk page) 00:51, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

January 2011[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to China Southern Airlines. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Abhishek191288 (talk) 03:33, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your addition and/or removal of content to the article was unexplained and unclear. Whenever any other editor finds an unexplained removal and/or addition to an article, he may revert the same for concerns of it being possibly unconstructive. So if you feel you have added the right info please explain the same so that it is not mistaken for vandalism. The problem was that you had made several edits without explanation. This became a cause of concern. Please provide a suitable edit summary explaining why you are adding and/or removing content. Thanks, Abhishek191288 (talk) 05:00, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
If it was a general cleanup of the article, you write the same instead of leaving the summary box blank. Abhishek191288 (talk) 05:04, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It may be a Chinese airline, but you Chinese do not own the article. There are several non-Indians editing India related articles and I have no right to ask them to back off. The same applies to you. You are not here to show your arrogance and nobody owns any article on wikipedia. Abhishek191288 (talk) 05:09, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
They were all unexplained edits. Now your message counts for an NPA. Remember you may be blocked if you continue to post such messages. Abhishek191288 (talk) 05:13, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

We need to stop edit warring and assume good faith.

Post the considered text at Talk:China Southern Airlines and revise it there, then when it's all nice and revised, post at China Southern Airlines WhisperToMe (talk) 05:59, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A solution I found to the logo description was to simply pluck out the WP:Peacock terms. Now it's okay. WhisperToMe (talk) 06:03, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Shanghai Airlines CRJ-200LR.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Shanghai Airlines CRJ-200LR.jpg, which you've sourced to Friend/DJDJDJ. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MilborneOne (talk) 21:34, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, every picture is held in my computer. All these authors are my friends (aviation enthusiast) who took picture in China. Eg: DJDJDJ: (Full name: Chen Duwang, Machree: Ma Laoluan.)We also have printed them. People can never find these in Internet(except wikipedia). So, I think they are fully legal. Regards

Butting in[edit]

--Dave ♠♣♥♦™№1185©♪♫® 16:56, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Markshen1985 (talk) 17:06, 16 January 2011 (UTC)Markshen1985[reply]

Until then, there's nothing else we can talk. --Dave ♠♣♥♦™№1185©♪♫® 17:30, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Markshen1985 (talk) 17:37, 16 January 2011 (UTC)Markshen1985[reply]

--Dave ♠♣♥♦™№1185©♪♫® 17:58, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Markshen1985 (talk) 18:13, 16 January 2011 (UTC)Markshen1985[reply]

--Dave ♠♣♥♦™№1185©♪♫® 18:31, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Markshen1985 (talk) 18:40, 16 January 2011 (UTC)Markshen1985[reply]

I know, you need to place User:Markshen1985 next to Author. At the moment, the name Mark Shen has no link as to where the pics have come from. If you wikify them, other Wikipedians just need to click on the link, which will lead to your user page. Sp33dyphil (Talk) (Contributions)(I love Wikipedia!) 22:30, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

--Dave ♠♣♥♦™№1185©♪♫® 05:49, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Mclarenshen[edit]

Quite obviously User:Mclarenshen is a fresh account of Markshen. Following the copyvio troubles here he opened a few own flickr accounts and started license laundering from that account. Maybe not a problem on en.wp, but on Commons this user is now blocked as a user who is doing nothing but copyvio uploads. --Martin H. (talk) 11:11, 23 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
