Hey Garsh, thank you for looking over the article draft I created, I was fully expecting comment, but didn't realise a straightforward deletion would happen without discussion! I'll take the lesson. I was really careful looking at wiki guides before publishing for a review, so I don't completely agree with the speedy deletion response. The article was factual, chronological, and with third party references. If you remember this particular article could you guide me a little in your reasons for deletion rather than providing an opportunity to edit? Thank you. I'll take a look at the links in your message too. Martin Turner (talk) 08:48, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! While I did decline the article's inclusion into mainspace and tag the article as promotional material, I did not perform the deletion as I am not an administrator. During my review, I found that the page included material and wording that seemed to promote its topic like an advertisement. While this does not automatically qualify for deletion, it was found that no significant content would remain if this promotional material was removed (see WP:G11).
I can no longer access the content of the page to give specifics as it was deleted, but it can be retrieved if you contact the deleting administrator. It appears that administrator is CactusWriter based on the deletion log of the page. Sorry if it feels as though your work was unjustly deleted, and I will happily give more specific comments once the page is undeleted. Garsh (talk) 18:08, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Draft:Clare Haggas, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
