You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. The article LALR Parser Generator has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable software.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Lexerless Parser[edit]

If you are still around I have in interest in the Lexerless parsing artical. I wrote a compiler-compiler system that has a Lexerless parser programming language a long long time ago. In the mid 1970s it was used to write a COBOL compiler. The parser language is a decendent of Dewey Val Schorre's META II language. It is vary close to CWIC's SYNTAX language. Schorre was part of the CWIC development team at SDC. From my understanding these were the among first generally available parsers. META II in 1963. Presented in a 1964 ACM meating. CWIC was presented in an ACM SEGPLAN meating in 1969. A 1970 paper is available from the ACM archives.

From my point of view the Schorre scannerless parser programming languages simplify parser development. I was head of the programming language development group at KONTRON in Irvine Calif. I left when the moved to northern Calif in the 80s. From personal experience I can say parser generators having separate lexers are far more difficult to use. Just having two separate programs is a complication. I see you haven't been active for a while. Get in touch if you are interested.Steamerandy (talk) 18:47, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
