Age of Myth

[edit]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_Myth I chose to edit an article about the novel, "Age of Myth", because this article barely contains any information. The only information given is the author's name, Michael J. Sullivan, and the date that the novel was released, June 28, 2016. Therefore, I will add what is necessary: sources, characters, the plot of the story, and more. This article is in dire need of editing and I intend on reviving it. The minimal information provided limits the reader's understanding of what this novel possesses. There are a few sources listed but not all of them are reliable, and the information provided in this article is not beneficial. Therefore, I am adding other sources to the article and enhancing the description for clarity purposes.

According to my research, I am not aware of the first book of this series receiving any awards.

Primary Source

[edit]

Primary Sources- Everything in this article is relevant to the topic of the article. The article remains fairly neutral. The viewpoints of the article are underrepresented. The citations used seem reliable. Although, there is one fact that needs to have a citation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marygotsch (talkcontribs) 15:36, 25 April 2017 (UTC) Marygotsch (talk) 15:40, 25 April 2017 (UTC) Marygotsch[reply]

Peer Review by Amanda Tyrcha

I think you have a few solid sources so far. If you can, try to find more sources to support your topic. I also suggest getting a copy of the book (if you don't have one already) and using that as a source for the article. The best information (most descriptive) comes from the book itself. I believe you are on the right track with researching, you just need to start drafting the article.

like Amanda mentioned, I think you have a lot of good solid sources. you seem to have a good idea of what you want to improve so go for it. definitely start drafting what you want to add instead of stating what needs improvement. overall, you are off to a good start, just start drafting your topic and such. The Creation of The Age of Myth

[edit]

http://riyria.blogspot.com/p/about.html In this article, Sullivan mentions that his initial intentions for the series, "The Legends of the First Empire", was to be about the creation of empire and Persephone's admirer, Novron. I really try to avoid using blogs as a reliable source, but I am not able to find a lot of information about the author, Michael J. Sullivan, of the "Age of Myth".

About the Author and Summary

[edit]

https://bibliosanctum.com/2016/06/23/book-review-age-of-myth-by-michael-j-sullivan/ This source provides a thorough description of the novel. The "Age of Myth", written by Michael J. Sullivan is in a series known as "The Legends of the First Empire". It's an adventurous and mysterious tale of a character referred to as Raithe. Early on in the novel, his father dies due to a surprise rendez-vous from a highly trained and educated magical creature; a Fhrey. This event leads to Raithe killing the Fhrey, and the myth of the Fhrey's immortality. In the hopes of escaping, Raithe forms a relationship with a slave of the Fhrey, Malcolm. Together, they travel until they reach the land of Persephone. Once there, the adventure has only begun]. This series considers the question of the difference between myth and reality.
