Hi Mascotmayank. When you make links to other Wikipedia articles, you don't have to use the full URL. Instead of "[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optical_fiber Optical fiber]", you can just write "[[Optical fiber]]". The software takes care of the rest for you. Note that for internal links, the text is surrounded by two square brackets. If you want the visible text to be different from the actual title of the article, you can separate the title and your text with a vertical line, like this: "[[Optical fiber|fiber]]" yields "fiber".--Srleffler (talk) 19:34, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your comments, which you added in discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mascot Metal Manufacturers. Please note that on Wikipedia, consensus is determined by discussion, not voting, and it is the quality of arguments that counts, not the number of people supporting a position. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Mascot Logo.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Mascot Logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:29, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Was not aware or that I promoted a company all I did was to provide more and more informationa bout hardware and builders hardware

Decline reason:

(1) You are clearly affiliated with this company, so you are crossing a line by posting about it, and (2) you were certainly aware that the article was deleted as you had created it before and participated in the AfD. This sort of contributor is not welcome here. Please find somewhere else to promote your business. Mangojuicetalk 02:30, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

After the nomination of Mascot Metal Manufacturers page I never tried to create it, but I created a Mascot Group which is a group and not a company, also previously other administrators reviewed it and said that Mascot Group article does not promote any company, and Mascotmayank means I am my own mascot, Besides creating several contribution to Hardware industry I have contributed several pages and edits on Optical Fiber, then how come I have been charged with promoting a company

Decline reason:

You are promoting your company. If you do not understand that you are promoting your company, then you will not know how to refrain from promoting it in the future. Because you will not be able to follow Wikipedia rules, the block will have to stay in effect. — FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 18:23, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On October 17th, you recreated the Mascot Metal Manufacturers page after the nomination and deletion. This is plainly visible to admins who can see your deleted edits; but you can verify this indirectly by looking at the deletion log. The article has been deleted 3 times; all three times it was created/recreated by you. Mangojuicetalk 19:02, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GAR for Optical fiber

[edit]

Optical fiber has been nominated for a good article reassessment. Articles are typically reviewed for one week. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to good article quality. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, the good article status will be removed from the article. Reviewers' concerns are here. --A. di M. (talk) 22:49, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
