Request reason:

I AM the user MaskedWoman who had the account administrator "5 albert square" thinks is too similar to the account "Masked Woman Returns" that I recently created and is blocked. I lost access to the first account because I also lost access to the associated email address steinlaura(at)optimum.net due to a hacker, and as I had not used the account for several months, forgot the password so was unable to update the email address. The automated system did not flag the new account name as a problem. Even if I were not the same person I don't see why anyone would confuse the two very different account names. I believe 5 albert square is being over-zealous. I have never been flagged for any improper posting. The one post I did make w/ the new account was to add an educational institution to a list in the article for New Westminster, BC--hardly threatening or fraudulent behavior. Please reverse this block.

Accept reason:

OK I accept that you are the previous user. Sorry if it sounded over zealous but when it comes to people possibly impersonating you we can't be too careful 5 albert square (talk) 19:27, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Is there any way we can confirm this? Checkuser data on your old account has long since expired. We recently had one incident with an impersonator, and I'd rather not repeat it. Hersfold (t/a/c) 16:40, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The other account hasn't edited since October 2009. I don't see why this account should be blocked, whether it is the same person or not. Beeblebrox (talk) 17:12, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
