First off, Welcome to Wikipedia, MM!
As for the article, the fact that it's the longest-running nationally syndicated television show in history, when sourced, belongs in the Soul Train article. It does not belong in the Corey Clark article. Introducing it in the Clark article is a tangent or digression that violates WP:PEACOCK and WP:PROMOTION.
Also, for future reference, new discussion (and posts) go at the bottom of talk pages, rather than the top.
