Atheism Definition

The sources cited definite atheism slightly different than how the current wiki page for atheism defines atheism. Why cite a source if your definition is going to be different than the sources definiton? Either find a different source that affirms what the definition is or change the current wiki definition to match that of the source.

wiki: "In a narrower sense, atheism is specifically the position that there are no deities"[2]

[2]: "in the narrow sense of the term an atheist is anyone who disbelieves in the existence of this being, while in the broader sense an atheist is someone who denies the existence of any sort of divine reality"

Wiki:

  Broad- Rejection of belief
  Narrow - specific position no deities

[1]:Encyclopedia Britanica,

  "atheism, in general, the critique and denial of metaphysical beliefs in God or spiritual beings". 

[2]:

  Broad - Denies existence
  Narrow - anyone who disbelieves 

Both sources [1] and [2] say the broad term for atheism is the denial of a God. Not only does the [2] source use the term denial instead of rejection which reinforces [1] it actually switches the narrow and broad definitions around. It would seem then that the article as it stands violates Wikipedia's guidelines, "Sources must support the material clearly and directly". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:SOURCES#Original_research.

Changes that people might disagree over should be discussed where the subject matter is most relevant. You should repost this at Talk:Atheism. I guarantee people will discuss it there. Here, on your talk page, you're not really going to get any discussion.
