Welcome!

Hello, Matin Luther~enwiki, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

May I also suggest that on your user page, that instead of saying, "I am a Protestant, I hate Catholic," that you simply say, "I am a Protestant."? I'm not exactly sure what the guidelines on this are, but it will help people to take your contributions more seriously and will make your contributions look more professional. Thanks! Nice to meet you![edit]

Hello! I'm very pleased to keep in touch with you too!! I love languages, but I must tell you, on one hand, that the languages I can speak are all related. The most different from my own is English.

On the other hand, I only speak (to talk) three of them; Catalan, Castellano (the languages of my "State-Country", there are some controversian about this in the past and nowadays... It's a matter quite weary :-S... It's like England and Ireland, more or less), that's why I grown up bilingual. I consider it a lucky, because I'm not a linguist nor a degree in any language, but my bilingualism helps me to understand another foreing but close lenguages to mine. Ah! and the third is English...

But I'm always really fascinated with the Asian languages. I think its spelling is very beautiful! Seriously! But it's so different of my owns, that I'm afraid I never have enought time to learn some. I'm 29 years old, I have a daughter two years old, I work in a gift- shop, I'm a housewife, I study at night in a distance-learning university, I have my friends and my love... so my time it's overflow.

But like I tell you before, I'd like to keep in touch with you too, so my e-mail is: heliofisica_gat@yahoo.es

See you soon!!

Hi[edit]

Hi, Matin Luther, This is Chaplin! Why can't I create an account in English Wikipedia? Please teach me how to do because I really want to create an account also in the English one. --61.239.132.111 13:38, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've already tried a lot of computers in Hong Kong! But none of them can create an account. At first, I think English Wikipedia will be the same with the Chinese one, and of course, I've pressed the button "Sign in / create account" but it doesn't work. --61.239.132.111 10:32, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Then who do you think I can ask? --61.239.132.111 01:06, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much. I've found him already and I'm waiting for the answer right now. --61.239.132.111 09:37, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm Chaplin. you can go to my talk page now. --Chaplin 04:08, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I feel happy too. --Chaplin 14:36, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject Narnia Newsletter March 2007[edit]

WikiProject Narnia Newsletter
Issue 1 - 2nd March 2007 . Written by User:Sp3000 (talkcontribs)
WikiProject Narnia News
  • The WikiProject has been a little quiet lately. There are still quite a lot of Narnia stubs. It has been nearly three months since we last worked on Minor characters in The Chronicles of Narnia, which still looks very much like a draft page. That would be a nice article to get into the main namespace.
Good and Featured Articles
Other news
  • WikiProject Narnia's first newsletter issue has been published. You're looking at it right now!
Member News
To-do
  1. Add characters and bios to minor character draft page.
  2. Expand Narnia stubs.
  3. Link the first mention of a year in all Narnia-related articles to Narnian timeline.
  4. Rewrite character articles to use the Narnian character example article format.
  5. Adopt an article and improve it to the best of your ability.
  6. Wikify The Chronicles of Narnia article, especially the new lead and Narnian Universe sections
From the founder

I am proud to present our first issue of the WikiProject Narnia Newsletter. I decided that we needed to alert everybody who had expressed interest in the project that there is much work to be done! Please check in every once in a while at the project talk page, and tell other project members what you've been up to in terms of Narnia articles.

Article of the Month: Edmund Pevensie
  • Edmund Pevensie is a major character in The Chronicles of Narnia. He appears as a principal character in three of the seven books. Edmund was the second to enter Narnia, although he tried to betray his siblings to the White Witch. However, Edmund managed to help save Narnia by neutralizing the White Witch's most powerful weapon, her wand.
Collaboration of the Month: Shasta (Narnia)
  • Shasta is currently quite short and not much of his background has been mentioned. The article also lacks images – but make sure if you upload one, you include a FU rationale. Contribute!

WP Christianity[edit]

Hi, I saw your name on the WikiProject Christianity Membership page.

I've made some changes to the WP Christianity main project page, added several sup-project pages, created a few task forces section, and proposed several more possible changes so that we can really start making some serious progress on the project. Please stop by and see my comments on the project talk page here and consider joining a task force or helping out with improving and contributing to our sub-projects. Thanks for your time! Fair use rationale for Image:CWBanner1copy.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:CWBanner1copy.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Huntster (t@c) 02:17, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:CWBanner1copy.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:CWBanner1copy.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:42, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 10:06, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. We're into the last five days of the Women in Red World Contest. There's a new bonus prize of $200 worth of books of your choice to win for creating the most new women biographies between 0:00 on the 26th and 23:59 on 30th November. If you've been contributing to the contest, thank you for your support, we've produced over 2000 articles. If you haven't contributed yet, we would appreciate you taking the time to add entries to our articles achievements list by the end of the month. Thank you, and if participating, good luck with the finale!
