2007 Monte Carlo Rally

[edit]

Happy to pass this as a good article. By all means continue with the other seasons (that is if you are happy to continue), especially if it is going to be at this standard. I certainly would be happy to review an article like this again.

I think it is in good stead for FAC. For one, there is an appropriate background section for the ordinary reader, its very comprehensive and the use of images help. Though I would highly recommended the article getting a peer review beforehand. Ideally, it should be copyedited because it is prose-heavy and while I feel this is sufficient for GA, some sentences and terminologies may need to be ironed out. I'm not too certain if the YouTube video will stand up in FAC, perhaps if you have a DVD of the event you can use that as a video reference. Hi. I don't really fully understand MOS/DTT and that kind of thing, so I was wondering if you could help me. Skywalker80100 (talk · contribs) has recently substantially altered all of the season articles for The Simpsons and today did this to the main episode list, which I reverted because to me it looked absurd. The reason I'm asking you is because one of the things they have done is remove "plainrowheaders" from the wikitables, which you added to them last month. So, could you check whether their edits conform with policy? Or whether I'm just sitting here baffled by change? Thanks, Gran2 08:28, 28 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Personally I hate it but there is precedent for transcluding tables from season pages to the main List of Episodes page. That isn't to say it has to be done, but the majority of episode lists do do that, so if an editor comes across a page where it isn't done, he might innocently think that it needs changing. It doesn't, so you were okay to revert.
As for plainrowheaders, that will remove header formatting of text in the first column of the tables. As at The Simpsons (season 22), the first episode number in the row is currently in boldface with the removal of "plainrowheaders" from the Class element of the table. Adding it back will unbold, and undo any other forced formatting such as centering, although in the case of {{episode list}} that isn't the case because the template forces the episode number into the center of the cell anyways.
I also noticed that he's made similar edits to List of M*A*S*H episodes, List of Green Acres episodes, List of The Beverly Hillbillies episodes, List of Sanford and Son episodes, List of All in the Family episodes, List of Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. episodes, List of Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes, and List of Star Trek: The Original Series episodes: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&target=Skywalker80100 We (WP:TVE) knew this might happen, and the plan is to go through pages with AWB again every so often, but some of his edits are more complicated than changing the table formatting, and will need to be looked at individually -- some pages look like he's removed summaries and changed names of writers. Hi, I am, yes, and thanks again for doing it, I've just been busy and it will require a couple of days of full attention, but I will be getting to it. Mobile Matthewedwards (talk) 17:15, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
