Welcome to WikiProject Extinction[edit]

Hello Matthias.mace, welcome to WikiProject Extinction. Thank you for your edits. One question? Are you currently working at the List of extinct animals of Catalonia? I made some changes to it as it contained info from the List of extinct animals of the British Isles. Peter Maas 14:25, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cabanilles move[edit]

Hello,

I'm sorry, I'm going to revert your move unless you can provide a substantial list of English-language publications that use "Joan". "Juan Bautista" is the accepted form in all English-language sources (New Grove, Apel,..). Moving it to "Joan" is like moving Aristotle to Aristoteles because that is his correct Greek name. It is, but "Aristotle" has been accepted long ago, for historical reasons, and there is absolutely no way we can use the "right" Greek spelling in an English-language encyclopaedia.

I'm going to look into that other article you moved for the same reasons, too. --Jashiin (talk) 12:36, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've just looked into Gerhard, and I'm going to revert that too, unless you can provide reliable English-language sources that list his name as "Robert". --Jashiin (talk) 12:41, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
