A request

[edit]

Per this discussion at ANI, would you consider using "Thai interwiki" or "th interwiki" in your edit summaries so that it is absolutely clear what your edit is. Thanks. Mjroots (talk) 09:23, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

OK --Mattis (talk) 09:29, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thai Language

[edit]

I made the revision because the prominent "Download MP3" hyperlinks on the pronunciation pages require the user to log in. See Wikipedia:External_links#Links_normally_to_be_avoided number 6. Wikky Horse (talk) 17:50, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Poor Man's Bible

[edit]

I just took a look at the page on Thai wiki, and it does look good, even though I cannot read a single word of it. I just want to point out to you something that you have not noticed. The gallery of pictures at the end of the article (on English wikipedia) follows strictly the narrative of the life of Christ. They are not an arbitrary choice of "good examples". On the Thai page there are now a number of examples that intrude on the order of events of the Gospels. Amandajm (talk) 07:54, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Usage of coat of arms image

[edit]

Greetings, Mattis. As I was updating the image of my coat of arms, I was surprised (and a little amused) to find it used in the Thai Wikipedia. Rather flattered, I clicked to see the user page where it had been transcluded, but I soon realised it was featured in the mainspace! With the help of BabelFish I discovered that the page in question—where the image was given as an example of arms using a particular style of helm—was created by you last August, and so I set out to tell you what I had thought was apparent all along: the arms are fictional (as is, it pains me to say, my title). I never found it necessary to explicitly state this fact on the file page itself, but it was my impression that it was very apparent. That is not to say that you cannot use the image, and indeed, I don't personally mind such usage, but I imagine that it would be better for an article to display coats of arms used by real persons or organisations. After all, I doubt anyone can consider me a reliable source for anything. :-) Waltham, The Duke of 10:01, 10 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thai interwikis

[edit]

My, you have been busy recently! It's nice to think of all those articles being available in Thai. Do they get read much? Keep up the good work anyway, Johnbod (talk) 21:53, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of star forts, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Fortezza Medicea (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thai help needed

[edit]

Hello Mattis, I'm contacting you because we need some Thai translators to help with the deployment of the new VisualEditor on th.wikipedia. There are help pages, user guides, and description pages that need translating, as well as the interface itself. The translating work is going on over on MediaWiki: Translation Central. I also need help with a personal message for the Thai Wikipedians. If you are able to help in any way, either reply here, or head over to TranslationCentral. Thanks for your time, PEarley (WMF) (talk) 01:57, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
