Hi! I noticed that you recently reverted the CSD and blanking. The content was all copyright violation, and therefore cannot exist on WP and must be blanked and tagged with CSD-G13. I'm going to undo your revert. Again, thanks for doing Recent Changes and acting preemptively, but also check the revision reasons; not all blanks are malicious. Rollback granted

Hi Mattplaysthedrums. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked

sd .

  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure youaeawef 'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! TheSandDoctor Talk 15:34, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

I don't get how my edit wasn't neutral. Can you explain to me, please? I tried to make it neutral.

Hi Matt

Thanks for noticing the changes I made on the Susan Pearson wikipedia page. I redid them but put in an explanation. Shoopee (talk) 03:02, 27 April 2021 (UTC)

Understood. I removed the edit because you didn't provide an edit summary. Thanks for redoing the edit. Mattplaysthedrums (talk) 03:08, 27 April 2021 (UTC)

edit of Ludwig Von Mises page revision

Thanks for reaching out. I think you are mistaken because it's the other person whose moniker is literally "BasedMises" who has an issue with point of view & bias. If you have some specific criticism for the information I've written, I would be glad to hear it, but if you read the information, it's all cited from Mises' own works, or those of his contemporaries & understudies. Where is the "neutral point of view" being broken?

If you are still working on a page, you should create a sandbox in your own userspace. It has the potential to be a good article, but you should try to publish articles once they have enough content and reliable sources. Mattplaysthedrums (talk) 02:09, 4 May 2021 (UTC)

Blaise de Lasseran Montluc

I don't know why you reverted my Montluc work for lack of sources, I provided 3 sources. You could see them in the footnotes with page numbers attached. If you're referring to the material I put in the article lede, I didn't reference that because its all referenced in the body Sovietblobfish (talk) 01:05, 12 May 2021 (UTC)

The only unreferenced work in the article is most of the material that was there previously. Which is what you reverted it to. Sovietblobfish (talk) 01:08, 12 May 2021 (UTC)

I was referring to the material that you had put into the article, which wasn't referenced with inline citations. However, you did include references at the bottom of the page, so it was a mistake on my behalf. I have removed my rollback. Mattplaysthedrums (talk) 01:10, 12 May 2021 (UTC)

Monterey Pop Festival edit

Hi,

You reversed my recent edit on the above page as you felt it wasn't constructive, but what's interesting is that I felt compelled to edit Ravi Shankar's section after viewing the end of the documentary tonight and his rousing reception from the audience, as I thought the current wording was not only not constructive, but almost derogatory. "All other musical acts played to a packed house" (which isn't even stated in the referenced footnote; the original source says that the other acts sold all their tickets, not how they were attended) doesn't really have a point except to make an offhand comment that Shankar was less popular and even poorly received (not true), which is why I felt that adding an *actual quote from the footnote referenced* ("each of the extended works was greeted with orchid tossing ovations") would better serve both the artist and the historical record of this touchstone in popular culture. Thanks.

Shana Feste

Hi Matt,

The source is myself, I am the person she did this to and I am the one updating the ACCURATE INFO YOU KEEP DELETING. You are now getting the confirmation that all of my edits are correct and that this actually happened straight from the horse's mouth. Can you please stop deleting my changes as I am confirming that I have an accurate source, myself? So you can put that in the references if you feel so compelled to do so. I have no idea how to respond to your message so this is the only thing I could figure out to do to contact you. Thanks! Also, if you delete or change my edits, please provide me with a legitimate reason for doing so, like how you would know about this story and information better than I do. How do you actually know Shana and about her bio? Do you even know Shana?

When you contribute to Wikipedia, you NEED to cite a reliable source. This does not include word of mouth theories or original research. By citing sources for Wikipedia content, you enable users to verify that the information given is supported by reliable sources, thus improving the credibility of Wikipedia while showing that the content is not original research. If you need help referencing sources, see Help:Referencing for beginners. I reverted your edit because you didn't have a reliable source, and this is a legitimate reason for doing so. Original research is not permitted on Wikipedia. Mattplaysthedrums (talk) 04:18, 28 May 2021 (UTC)

Inaccuracy

Hello Mr. Drums,

Just stopping by to let you know the changes made to the page of Puntland is indeed accurate as of 06-07-2021 and the sources are oral along with working with the Government of Puntland itself . Please do not change or delete the changes without consulting me first. Thank you! Sincerely NatalieNatalie904 (talk) 23:38, 7 June 2021 (UTC)

Hi Natalie. There is no system on Wikipedia for verifying unpublished oral claims. Wikipedia content is determined by previously published information rather than by the personal beliefs or experiences of its editors. Your edit was without a citation to a reliable and published source, therefore I was able to remove it. If you want, please redo the edit with an appropriate citation. I left a link on your talk page on how to cite sources. Mattplaysthedrums (talk) 00:03, 8 June 2021 (UTC)

Help me!

Please help me with... Hi. I recently wrote an article about the Millenáris Park in Budapest. It was deleted soon after without discussion as it had according to @Onel5969: not enough sources. I have taken the article back to the sandbox and have tried my best to add more sources. I would like to know if the sources are enough or if I should add more before I publish the article again. That's all. Mattplaysthedrums (talk) 02:09, 16 June 2021 (UTC)

After last week, it's suggested to request to others before making any changes. Does anyone object to adding a more recent photo of Ivan Moody performing live? If this is ok, can we do this without an edit war?. The photo will be of Ivan. Let us know thanks -

Why are you removing my piece on Ian MacKaye’s little red hat? It was on the Fugazi article before and I found it funny.

forbetterscience

Hi Matt,

Thanks for helping me improve the David M. Sabatini page on Wikipedia. I was trying to add sources to the paragraph that I added, but unfortunately the website that the sources were from is inexplicably on the global Wikipedia blacklist -- forbetterscience dot com.

This website is actually a blog maintained by renowned science journalist commentator and watchdog Leonid Schneider. The page often has thoroughly researched and meticulously presented details of scientific fraud by prominent members of the scientific community. I suspect that someone requested that this website be added to the Wikipedia blacklist because they did not want details of their fraudulent or sloppy scientific conduct to come to the public eye.

As a member of the scientific community, I feel that blacklisting this website is a disservice to the scientific and academic enterprise, and I have submitted a request to get the website removed from the Wikipedia blacklist, so I can provide references to the section I wish to add. The pages I want to reference contain sound reporting, and I was trying to include them here but I keep hitting the Wiki blacklist. I would love to share these with you so you can take a look for yourself and decide if they feel like libel or spam to you (I can assure you, almost no one in the scientific community would say so).

Thank you for helping me improve the content on Wikipedia.
