Additional tips[edit]
Here's some extra tips to help you get around in the 'pedia!
- If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
- You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Five will get you the datestamp only.
- You may want to add yourself to the new user log.
- If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
- If you're still entirely confused, or would like to get a better grasp of your wikipedia skills, and you have an IRC client (or don't mind getting one), check out the Bootcamp. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.
- If you're bored and want to find something to do, try the Random page button in the sidebar, or check out the Open Task message in the Community Portal.

UBC water resolution[edit]
Hello, did you write the text of UBC water resolution yourself, or did you copy it from somewhere? If you copied and pasted, that is a WP:COPYVIO, and we can't accept the text. Not to assume a bad faith edit, but the text seems suspicious to me. Please respond on my talk page. — Swpb talk contribs 20:02, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- I see you blanked the page UBC water resolution. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. Another editor has restored the text. If the text you removed was copyrighted, please indicate so in your edit summary. I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article UBC water resolution, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. — Swpb talk contribs 18:02, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
