Linking[edit]

I reverted your edit at Meade County, Kansas because you added several unnecessary links. At MOS:OL, you will read, "A good question to ask yourself is whether reading the article you're about to link to would help someone understand the article you are linking from." Also, do not link to "Everyday words understood by most readers in context". I hope this helps you moving forward. Magnolia677 (talk) 05:49, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Did I do something wrong? Am I in some sort of trouble? Mauderdale (talk) 05:50, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Not in trouble (unless you don't stop). It's just that three different editors have reverted every single one of your edits. For whatever reason, you are going from article to article adding links to words that should not be linked. Also, only administrators can add page protection templates. Why not try one of the newcomer tutorials? They are very helpful and will give you a good background for editing. Magnolia677 (talk) 06:00, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! I checked your recent contributions and it seems like you are trying to game permissions in order to raise your user access level. Can you explain why, as you did in Tipton County, Indiana? Thanks! Tails Wx 23:53, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure at all what you're talking about, I'm just making minor edits. Why are you stalking me? Mauderdale (talk) 23:55, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not stalking you, I'm just notifying you about your contributions. Almost half of your edits you make are on your userpage, while most of the other half are just minor edits. Are you here to build an encyclopedia per the edits you are making on your userpage? Tails Wx 00:03, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It sure seems like you are. I'm just editing my user page, is something wrong with that? Mauderdale (talk) 00:05, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
