File permission problem with File:Olivi (1942).jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Olivi (1942).jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 14:38, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Autoritratto del pittore con la sua famiglia (1939).jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Autoritratto del pittore con la sua famiglia (1939).jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. License tagging for File:Anniversary of America's Discovery (1919).jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Anniversary of America's Discovery (1919).jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 11:05, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

ANI notice[edit]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. MSJapan (talk) 03:48, 10 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article[edit]

...is frankly awful. Almost everything you have in that article is not supported by sources. If you say Aicardi went to a school, you need to show proof that he went, not that the school exists. If he did frescoes or paintings in churches, you need to show that those exist, not that the church exists. Even the language is a problem - this is an encyclopedia, not a hagiography. See the "Death" section for a concise example of exactly what I mean. The organization is shoddy, and references to pictures of his works do not go in a references section. Many of the links to exhibitions don't even mention Aicardi, nor does anything relating to Wolfson's collection that I have found thus far. In short, you're going to need to read the relevant policies and do much better work on this article if you expect it to meet the necessary criteria. MSJapan (talk) 16:05, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please read the manual of style, as you are making edits contrary to policy in your working draft, such as referring to the subject by first name. Secondly, if you still are unable to find any sources, you might as well stop working on it now, because the article will simply be deleted again when moved to mainspace. MSJapan (talk) 16:54, 15 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am currently reading the the manual of style so I can perfect the draft for it's release. You have to understand that I am new at this so I would appreciate constructive criticism and help if parts of the article are not up to standard. I have so far deleted the parts that you mentioned in your previous comments and will stick to mentioning things that I can only find in secondary sources. Unfortunately there is only one source I have found online so far (http://www.ottocentoligure.it/aicardi_giorgio_matteo_quotazione.html) which gives a brief biography about Aicardi. I am aware that a web site commemorating the artist is also in progress which I understand will have a full biography about the artist.

Now to a little specific question regarding the article.....It mentions that some of Aicardi's collection is exhibited at the Wolfsonian Museum in Genoa. Would this link be enough to be used as a reference? http://www.wolfsoniana.it/en/dipinti.htm

I appreciate your input and help.
