Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because this page focuses creatively on what I'm doing in Wikipedia. --MaynardClark (talk) 23:54, 1 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This is more than half autobiographical stuff about your real life. What are you talking about? Jytdog (talk) 23:57, 1 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Please be mindful of WP:USERPAGE. You have filled yours with autobiographical article-like content, personal musings, and even work notes. That isn't what userspace is for. If you clean out the autobiographical cruft there would be remaining stuff that would be OK. Jytdog (talk) 00:01, 2 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It is all about Wikipedia contributions - spelled out - with the exception of comparable contributions elsewhere: publications in refereed journals and LibraryThing badges, everything is related to Wikipedia contributions (organized somewhat characteristically). All of the following has nothing to do with WP:

No, they don't. You have not read WP:USERPAGE yet have you. It is not the place to post your resume, CV, accomplishments, etc. Jytdog (talk) 05:01, 2 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I see three (3) points there - at WP:USERPAGE - that stand out to me:
Userboxes are fun little boxes you can put in your user page to express yourself.
Besides communication, other legitimate uses of user space include (but are not limited to):
- Significant editing disclosures (voluntary but recommended)
-- Things other editors may find helpful to understand
Remember that a limited amount of personal information (perhaps a short biography) and a freely licensed tasteful personal photograph or two are usually allowed if the page reasonably complies with other requirements.
However, I think the gist of all this is, other than strictly-defined sets of content for the Project, host it elsewhere IF you want others to be able to access it. Nicht wahr? I agree to that. Give me a day. It's late at night. But I've copied what I need... already ... MaynardClark (talk) 05:10, 2 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, limited. That is why I said OK finally to User:MaynardClark/AboutMe. Limited. Not tons of autobiographical content, not musings about the world or other projects, not stuff about your day job, etc. Jytdog (talk) 05:30, 2 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because it focuses on my Wikipedia contributions and it's really pretty good now. --MaynardClark (talk) 12:52, 2 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
