Definition of the category "American Academists"

Looks like you added the definition "Academics who are US citizen or any academic who has been based in the US" (more or less). User:Trovatore and User:rjensen believe the category should have just US citizens based on their understanding of how the phrase is commonly used. Was there a previous discussion on this issue? Do you have a link somewhere? You can check my talk page for background on the issue, though settling the category definition matters independent of that specific issue. Thanks. Hi there. No, I don't beleive there was a discussion on the matter at the time. Yeah, to follow the general WP trend, it should very likely just be citizens of the U.S. no matter where they are based. I'll go to the talk page as you suggest. Mayumashu (talk) 10:29, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
