Conflict of interest in Wikipedia[edit]

Yours is one of many accounts that have been created in Wikipedia to promote David B. Samadi.

Please see the notice below, and the questions below that.

Information icon Hello, Mbc2017. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. Editing for the purpose of advertising or promotion is not permitted. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.

Would you please:

  • disclose any connection you have with him or his institution
  • disclose whether you have used any other accounts in Wikipedia.

Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 17:48, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

no COI - and I just used the talk page to suggest something which I think is relevant Mbc2017 (talk) 19:13, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't ask you to evaluate if you have a COI. Would you please answer the two questions that I actually asked? Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 19:15, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
no connection; this is my first contribution to wikipedia, I have/ had no other account Mbc2017 (talk) 19:16, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Your response is not credible. The article has a long history of single-purpose accounts that have tried to promote Samadi. You are advocating content that is purely promotional. I will ask you again to please disclose any connection you have with Samadi. Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 19:19, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I have no connection. I am advocating nothing. Is El Pais a reliable source for Wikipedia? Mbc2017 (talk) 19:23, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Not credible. Whatever. But your activity will be useful in investigating the possibility of abuse of multiple accounts. See you at the article talk page. Jytdog (talk) 19:24, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
