January 2010

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add content (particularly if you change facts and figures), as you have to the article St. Thomas University, Japan, please cite a reliable source for the content you're adding or changing. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Template

A template you created, Template:Link Colegio de San Gregorio, has been marked for deletion as a deprecated and orphaned template. If, after 14 days, there has been no objection, the template will be deleted. If you wish to object to its deletion, please list your objection here and feel free to remove the {{deprecated}} tag from the template. If you feel the deletion is appropriate, no further action is necessary. Thanks for your attention. R'n'B (call me Russ) 23:09, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

Use the sandbox if testing changes to major templates

Please stop making test edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Template:Infobox hospital. It is considered vandalism, which, under Wikipedia policy, can lead to a loss of editing privileges. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Ng.j (talk) 20:34, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

There is no preview of the template in the sandbox. (Only a space?) So, how could I use it? It is not usable at all. — P H I L T R O (talk) 08:16, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
I'd suggest creating a subpage in your userspace, eg User:Philtro/Sandbox and do any modifications there. If you want to see how the template looks, edit an article to use your template (ie change "{{Infobox hospital" to "{{User:Philtro/Sandbox" and preview (don't save) the changes to see how the template looks. Alternatively, you could create a second page in your userspace or use User:Philtro and copy an article's infobox there, rather than editing a live article. --AussieLegend (talk) 08:37, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
Oh, thanks. — P H I L T R O (talk) 08:39, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

Edit summaries

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary for your edits. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. AussieLegend (talk) 08:11, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

Okay. :) — P H I L T R O (talk) 08:19, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Campus map of the University of Santo Tomas.svg

Thanks for uploading File:Campus map of the University of Santo Tomas.svg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 17:04, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

Hey, I am the creator of this file. — P H I L T R O (talk) 17:07, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
Ah, thanks for clarifying this. You had first worded the description to make it sound as if you had taken the whole work from that source website. Looks okay now. Sorry for the trouble. Fut.Perf. 20:20, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
