HOPE[edit]

Was actually Demiurge that noted the concerns, I have, however, made a few minor tweaks. Notably I put a "Citation needed" by "a failing legal system in Hawaii", this I suspect should actually read something more like "what was seen by the founders as a failing...." - since I suspect that the view was not universally held. Copying and closely paraphrasing previously published content[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I appreciate your working on the close paraphrasing issues at Hawaii's Opportunity Probation with Enforcement (HOPE). The matter has come due for administrator evaluation, however, and I'm afraid that considerable content in the article has had to be removed as unusable unless we can verify permission to use it. Specifically, the problem is in the "Benchmarks for Success" material.

Wikipedia's copyright policies do allow use of some content under "fair use", but we are prohibited from copying or closely following extensive amounts of text. The best way to deal with this is to get (or, if you already have, verify) permission for the content. See WP:IOWN. Otherwise, we have to summarize the material in our own words, using only brief and clearly marked quotations.

Please let me know at my talk page if you have any questions about this or if you'd like to verify permission and need help with the process. Thanks. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:21, 24 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
