Tenebrae accusing us of being the same user[edit]

Hey Mcusa, I saw your comment on the Gabby Douglas talk page about the discussion going on at the List of African-American firsts. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that that guy Tenebrae is accusing you and I of being the same person. He keeps posting comments about it on the talk page. I reported him to an administrator. He acts as if he owns the A-A Firsts article and sets all the rules. Btw, I totally agree with you that Douglas should be added. Not sure if you saw my comments. One thing I don't understand, though, is why you tried to remove Barksdale from the list. He should be on there just as much as Douglas. But I guess you figured that since they don't want Douglas, that he shouldn't be on there either. Anyway, just wanted to let you know. See ya. --76.189.114.163 (talk) 22:12, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I saw that. I did make that edit - because they said only the first medalist was allowed (and they promptly reverted it). However, you can't make retaliatory edits so I am not going to try this again. Thanks for your support on this issue. To me, putting Gabby on this list is so obvious I'm not sure what the resistance is.Mcusa (talk) 15:42, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mcusa, no problem. Yeah, I understand why you tried to remove Barksdale. But don't let anyone in that discussion bully you. Just because they tell you something doesn't mean they're right. IMO, you were absolutely correct in adding Gabby Douglas. And you are right when you said it's worthy because it's a "top tier event" in the Olympics. Exactly. There aren't many "overall" golds at the Olympics and the overall gold in gymnastics is clearly considered among THE biggest accomplishments at the Summer Olympics. Tenebrae is doing everything he can to fight it. And you're right, the resistance is ridiculous. But the problem really is just one guy, Tenebrae, thinking he's the boss and thinking he can bully everyone. By the way, I warned him that he can get banned for accusing people of being the same user if he doesn't report it. I'm not sure if you commented in the talk page discussion to tell him (and everyone else) that you and I are different users, but you should do it so that all the other users can see the guy is making a malicious, false accusation. In fact, I'm not sure if you saw this on the talk page, but he wrote "I'd like Mcusa to weigh in on this discussion, given the similarities of your edits and attitudes." Haha. So you should definitely reply to that. You don't go around accusing people of being sockpuppets if you're not going to report it. That's a very cowardly thing to do. Anyway, good job for trying to get Douglas on the list. She clearly should qualify to be on there. --76.189.114.163 (talk) 16:01, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hey again. I saw you added that template to request discussion for adding Gabby Douglas. I just added one for the Yes/No polling section. It's almost mind-boggling that we're even discussing whether fictional wrestling characters should be added to the list. --76.189.114.163 (talk) 01:36, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the template. That idiot Tenebrae whined and complained that it was unfair, like he does about everything else. Haha. That's fine because he (or anyone else) has yet to give even one reason why fictional professional wrestling firsts should be on the list. He just babbles on about irrelevant issues. --76.189.114.163 (talk) 03:09, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
There is a discussion on the article's talk page pertaining this subject matter. It has been updated since your last post. Zepppep (talk) 04:36, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Response to Mcusa[edit]

Happy to. I've been going down the list of sections that Zep and the anon IP have compiled. If you and the anon IP really are separate people and he's not a meat puppet (someone working in collusion) then my apologies. Experience has shown that anytime a new anon IP jumps in to a contentious discussion, it's suspect. In any case, I can see you're more polite and civil, and I would caution the anon IP that an admin will take a dim view of insults like "idiot," which will ultimately hurt the IP's credibility if and when this goes to dispute resolution. It's ironic: I've never said his point was wrong — just that he needs to follow protocol like everyone else. --Tenebrae (talk) 15:40, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely — the difference in your behaviors has become very clear.
Which comments did you mean? I've gone through the recent, well-detailed and well-discussed list that Zep made, and which the anon IP contributed to with relative calmness and often very good points, but I think you're speaking of a different thing. Tell me the timestamp of the post for which you'd like comment, and I'll go there. With regards, Tenebrae (talk) 16:06, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. On deadline now, but I'll get there. Just wanted to let you know I got your timestamp. --Tenebrae (talk) 21:23, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Tenebrat, why don't you just stfu already and stop going around with all your childish attacks. In case you forgot, you accused Mcusa and I of being the same person. Haven't heard an apology yet for that. Enough of your disingenous nonsense. You have zero interest in improving that article and, as suspected by many from the beginning, you just want to completely control its content as you have since 2006. You tell Zep and I how well things are going, then you sneak off to other people's talk pages and insult us and the whole process which Zep has worked so hard on. Take your games somewhere else. --76.189.114.163 (talk) 01:01, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Mcusa, your contributions to that article have been appreciated by a number of editors, who do agree with some of the things you want to do. Thanks for the efforts. --76.189.114.163 (talk) 01:03, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Re: your RfC request[edit]

Hello there. I have been randomly selected by the RfC bot to be the editor involved in fulfilling the RfC request at Talk:List of African-American firsts. However, seeing as this is an article I work with and have gotten quite involved with it and corresponding talk page, I have withdrawn my name from consideration for this RfC. I might recommend, then, selecting an editor randomly from Wikipedia:Feedback request service. Zepppep (talk) 03:27, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
