Notability of 4th25[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on 4th25, by Hu (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because 4th25 seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting 4th25, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 20:42, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yo get over youself you noob. I worked on that page for over one hour. I did my best and I plan to add more content as soon as I find more information. The 4th25 website is down at the moment and I can't access the bits of information on the page. I did the best with the information I had in hand. If Jay-Z, 50 Cent and Eminem can have pages on here why can't an indie band have one too after all I'm sure there are people out there looking for that information, that is why I started the page. Furthermore if you can your one paragraph pages on Georges de Feure and August Endell you can't tell me I can start a page on something that interest me. A page with some real heroes who risk their lives to serve their country. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mdamon1224 (talkcontribs) 01:21, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How to make your article endure[edit]

You will easily be able to make an article that endures (How to write a great article). Find facts about them that you can reference that satisfy the requirements for Wikipedia:Notability. You will find that although risking their lives to serve their country is commendable (and I honor them for it), it is not sufficiently notable, otherwise every soldier of every country in the world would have an article.

There are some other things for new users to know about how Wikipedia works, so here is a collection of links: The five pillars of Wikipedia, How to edit a page, Help pages, Tutorial, Manual of Style.

One thing a new user might not know is that regular editors such as you and I can't delete articles. I only nominated the article because it did not adequately assert notability, as it stood. An Administrator reviewed the nomination and the article, and then performed the actual deletion. Also, it is important to know that personal attacks will not advance your cause. Finally, please sign posts on the Talk (discussion) pages with four tildes, ~~~~ to automatically get the date, time and user link stamped. Hu 10:24, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:4th25soldierlogo.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:4th25soldierlogo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:59, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
