Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, MegaMEX2001, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Microsoft Casual Games, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Microsoft Studios

[edit]

MegaMEX2001, I know we are kind of fighting over the content on Microsoft Studios, so please allow me to get this straight, so we are on the same page. This is the kind of edit I asked you not to do, as it reverts my previous edit, though without the revert notice and without any comment. As I stated previously our guidelines rule out spamming the infobox full of subsidiaries (or any listed field), specifically: "If there are more than five subsidiaries and the article body lists them or discusses them, consider linking to that part of the article rather than listing them in the infobox."

Furthermore, tables in the Studios section do not make any sense, as there is just one column with one row, which contains the entire content in a multi-line fashion. This makes the function of the table redundant, and it should not be used. In addition, the Studios section should for readability's sake only list the most significant games/series for each company; Rare's in your version spans over three lines, which is far too much, Cobalt is a franchise Mojang is barely associated with, etc.

Lastly, please use edit summaries! Going through your contributions you have not done that once, however, edit summaries are crucial for others (such as myself) to understand the aim of your edit. It could potentially avoid situations like this one. If you have a question or would like to argue over the in- or exclusion of certain content, please take to a talk page, whether it's the article's talk page or the concerned user's talk page, and discuss it there. See the BRD cycle for more information.

That said, I will now revert your edit on MS Studios again, and if you have any questions regarding the removed content or the continued development of the article, please correspond first. Regards. Lordtobi () 08:08, 28 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sega

[edit]

Hi, MegaMEX2001. I want to let you know I will be reverting your addition of Three Rings Design to the infobox on Sega again. The reason for this is that Three Rings is defunct and no longer operational; infoboxes on current companies usually only list current divisions. Three Rings is listed later in the article, so their ownership by Sega is part of the article already. If you disagree with this, please discuss it at Talk:Sega, as part of the WP:BRD process. Thanks! Red Phoenix talk 20:46, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Xbox Sports Network moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Xbox Sports Network, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Your draft article, Draft:Xbox Sports Network

[edit]

Hello, MegaMEX2001. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Xbox Sports Network".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 01:00, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
