  • You were specifically told to put the evaluation in your sandbox But for some crazy reason you ignored the instruction. I have taken pity on you and restored it to the proper place. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 00:27, 25 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Copyedit your article assignment[edit]

Aging in the American Workforce sections that currently exist: - Definition and introduction - baby boom - projections - impacts

  - economy
  - social security benefits
  - occupational safety and health
  - health care
  - society

I want to update and add to some new information to the projections data. Additionally, I think it is necessary to go through the article and adjust the tone. It has been pointed out by people in the talk section of this article that there is a tone of negativity towards aging, so the tone should be changed from a negative tone to a more neutral and unbiased tone. I would also like to make a new section on ageism, currently there is only one sentence about ageism under the "society" section. I would like to add information about how ageism impacts older adult workers as far as job satisfaction and productivity goes. Information about different laws that are meant to protect older adult workers from ageism in the workplace and whether those laws are effective would also be beneficial to this article. I would also like to add a new section about how older adults are adapting to the new technology heavy jobs and how the workforce has changed. Another section that I would like to add would be about retirement and how job satisfaction changes whether an older adult is force to continue working vs choosing to continue working.
