Welcome![edit]

Hello, Megannd1993, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Adam and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. Group Page[edit]

Check out the page I created for your group here: User:Megannd1993/multilingualism yEvb0 (talk) 01:38, 1 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hey group! So for Multilingualism, I think it would be cool to do a article on how emotions and perspectives of individuals who speak more than one language as a article to contribute.

I am starting a bibliography here:

Sounds good! Will do that now!

Improper move[edit]

Hi, you moved User:Megannd1993/sandbox to Emotions and Multilingualism which I have reverted - your sandbox was empty and should not be in the Wikipedia mainspace. Please see this page for more help in creating your first article. Thank you -- samtar talk or stalk 15:48, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies. I am in a online class for school project and I am having trouble with making a new page for the class. Megannd1993 (talk) 16:11, 9 June 2016 (UTC)MeganMegannd1993 (talk) 16:11, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sandbox moving[edit]

Hi, Megannd1993. You're getting responses from wikipedia editors because you have moved your empty sandbox into what Wikipedians call the "main space" or "article space". This is the part of Wikipedia where (unlike your or my sandbox) a reader would expect to find a referenced, clear article on a subject. Work on your draft should be done on your sandbox and once you are sure that what you've written would meet a reader's expectations should you move it into the mainspace. Adam (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:23, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Okay Thank you! I wrote something in the group sandbox and referenced it with the two cites I chose. Could you take a look at it to see if it is correct and I can make the new page? Thanks again.

  • Don't move that to the mainspace just yet. I recommend taking a look at this handout on Evaluating Wikipedia articles to see how Wikipedians write and judge the quality of articles. You (and your group-mates) can work on the draft in your sandbox and your instructor will be able to follow your work via the dashboard. Adam (Wiki Ed) (talk) 13:39, 10 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
