Information icon Hello, I'm RolandR. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Nupur Mehta, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. RolandR (talk) 22:25, 23 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Nupur Mehta, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. If you wish to add these claims, please draft a version of the page with references for these claims in userspace (see information in welcome) and then ask for it to be reviewed by an independent user as per WP:COIREQ, in compliance with the guideline on writing about oneself, WP:COISELF. Thanks, Ainlina(box)? 18:49, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Mehtanupur21: As others have said you really shouldn't be posting your phone number all over the place. Even posting your email address is not a good idea. Because of the way Wikipedia works and the number of mirrors we have, once you've posted it it may occur in websites all over the world and is impossible to remove. For many reasons, people will not contact you over Wikipedia content concerns over the phone. Editors will not generally contact you based on you posting your email address all over the place either, they will keep things on Wikipedia. If you want email contact, you should follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Contact us/Article subjects and email info-en-q@wikimedia.org directly. Do note however they will tell you the same thing we are telling you here. You need to provide reliable secondary sources for any changes. Because of the way Wikipedia works, we cannot rely on what you tell us even if you confirm your identity. Nil Einne (talk) 03:28, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Mehtanupur21, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Nupur Mehta, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Thanks, Ainlina(box)? 18:45, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

How to get your article fixed

[edit]

Dear Nupur,

I'm a fan and I'd like to help. You can't get your article fixed just by adding the text yourself. I'm sure if you think about this you will realize why. Anyone can create an account on Wikipedia. I could create an account today under the name "Mehtanupur22" then start adding all sorts of hurtful and untrue "facts" to your article. We need to have what we call "reliable sources" to verify anything added to an article. So for example if you can give me a link to a newspaper story that verifies the facts of your birth, family, etc, then I can add those things to the article. Also you should really stop publishing your phone number here. Anyone can see that. And it doesn't help us get the article fixed. If you have questions or concerns put them here or at Talk:Nupur Mehta and I, or another editor, will try to help you. GA-RT-22 (talk) 20:06, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Mehtanupur21. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Nupur Mehta, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Please don't edit your own article. You can request changes on the article's Talk page. Tacyarg (talk) 21:14, 8 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
