File moving
I'm not sure what happened, either you moved a file to Commons and changed the name of the file, or directly uploaded to Commons the same file with a different name. Please be aware that there are now two files File:AdamMBrown.jpg and File:Adam M. Brown.jpg. One of them should be deleted. Kraxler (talk) 18:53, 15 September 2015 (UTC)
- Hi. This file was marked as a candidate for moving to Commons → {{PD-US-1923}}, I moved it, and give it a bit more suitable name (Adam M. Brown). Local file will be deleted soon by a sysop (WP:F8). – Meiræ 19:11, 15 September 2015 (UTC)
- Please do not change the name of the file when moving to Commons. It messes up the logs, and causes trouble requiring to edit the file name on the pages where it is used. It makes you the original uploader instead of me who really uploaded it. And so on... Kraxler (talk) 22:46, 15 September 2015 (UTC)
- OK, thank you, but I must say that, even if mover transferring under the same title, (s)he becomes an "original uploader" anyway (see: WP:MTC + commons:Files transferred from other Wikimedia projects). Unfortunately, there isn't much I can do about that (however, name of the original uploader is placed at the "Original upload log" section). – Meiræ 23:39, 15 September 2015 (UTC)

Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
