The filenames you keep adding to the Image categories don't exist either because they're spelled wrong or have been deleted. Please stop adding them as it places the text of the filename in the infobox and disrupts the template formatting. Shadowjams (talk) 00:05, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. Continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Brendan Beni, without resolving the problem that the template refers to may be considered vandalism. Further edits of this type may result in you being blocked from editing Wikipedia. Yintaɳ  09:29, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:South Melbourne FC Logo.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:South Melbourne FC Logo.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 08:05, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Lakeside Oval Redevelopment Aerial.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria.

If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the image can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —SpaceFlight89 06:09, 25 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:George_Andrews_Reserve_logo.jpg

[edit]
Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:George_Andrews_Reserve_logo.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 18:12, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop moving pages

[edit]

Your attempt to make the page names "more descriptive" have actually made some of them more ambiguous. We had a discussion at WP:AFL a while ago and agreed on (Australian footballer) as the preferred disambiguator. The official name of the game is Australian football, after all. BUT, we accepted (footballer) as also being acceptable and (Australian rules footballer) as being the preferred one if there is a 2nd Australian soccer or rugby player with the same name. The change to Mark L Williams makes him ambiguous with the Port coach. Michael Quinn is also a Gaelic footballer, so labelling him an Australian rules footballer is misleading. I'll leave the others, but please only change to (Australian rules footballer) if (footballer) or (Australian footballer) is ambiguous with a soccer or rugby player. Thanks for uploading File:Dandenong Thunder logo.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Julius Davies.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 12:16, 24 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Roxburgh Park, Victoria, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. -- MSTR (Chat Me!) 03:27, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Roxburgh Park, Victoria. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. -- MSTR (Chat Me!) 05:09, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Michael Bosevski has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Brisbane Roar squad numbers

[edit]

I see that recently you have continued to give Yuji Takahashi the #13 in the first team section of the Brisbane Roar FC page. This is not factually correct and has been stated so by the club on numerous occasions. In future, unless you have a source to back up your edit, please refrain from making an edit that is untrue. Protenpinner (talk) 15:12, 10 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I see AGAIN that you have made the same edit that is not factually correct. You edit has been undone because of the reason supplied and if the same incorrect edit is done again, you will be reported to wikipedia. Protenpinner (talk) 15:31, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You have refused to adhere to the guidelines of Wikipedia per their non factual rules. You will be reported to wikipedia for doing so on 3 occasions. Protenpinner (talk) 09:05, 21 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

So no reply?? You say Yuji Takahashi has worn number 13 in all pre season games. He's been in the country less than a fortnight and has played 100 minutes of football (10mins + 90mins). There have been 8 games so far so that hard constitutes every game. As for contacting the club, I'd love to see proof. If you had a source for the unfounded claim of him wearing that number then you would have provided it already. Here's mine. [1] Scroll to the bottom of the article under squad numbers. It reads "Brisbane Roar squad: 1. Michael THEO (gk), 2. Matt SMITH (c), 3. Shane STEFANUTTO, 4. Matt JURMAN, 5. Ivan FRANJIC, 6. Erik PAARTALU, 7. Besart BERISHA, 8. Massimo MURDOCCA, 10. HENRIQUE, 11. Ben HALLORAN, 14. Rocky VISCONTE, 16. DO Dong-Hyun, 17. Mitch NICHOLS, 18. Luke BRATTAN, 19. Jack HINGERT, 20. Matt ACTON (gk), 21. James MEYER, 22. Thomas BROICH, 23. Anthony PROIA, 24. Nick FITZGERALD (youth), 25. George LAMBADARIDIS (youth), 26. Corey BROWN (youth), Yuji TAKAHASHI (number to be assigned)." As for more proof, he wore #29 against the Jets a few weeks ago - [2] Thus, until he is given a permanent number, he is considered not to have a squad number. Protenpinner (talk) 10:24, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Again, that doesn't confirm he's been given the #13. Just because it's not a supposed option doesn't automatically mean he's been given that number and thus it reverts back to the last documented account that he's yet to be given a squad number. Protenpinner (talk) 08:13, 23 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
