Hi @Melissa Ferretti - Chairwoman. I saw your edit on the Wampanoag page. Fair warning, as tribal chairwoman it's a cnflict of interest for you to be editing but I do understand your frustration. I have initiated a conversation on the talk page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Wampanoag to have the lede more inclusive. In order to do so we can't only include the Herring Pond band, we would need to include all of the Wampanoag bands with state recognition. I don't have an issue with doing that myself if there is consensus. I also noticed that the article is in serious need of updating and clean up which I am also happy to work on. I can't get it done for a few days but will keep my eye on the talk page for the discussion. Indigenous girl (talk) 00:04, 18 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. I would like to start a page for Herring Pond. You are right, there should be a stand alone article and I'm more than happy to work on it. I have access to plenty of sources but if there are specifics that should be included and I miss them you can let me know, I don't believe that is violating policy. I will make sure though. Thank you for your help!

Looks like I need a quick lesson on how WIKI works. Thank you for your clarification.

Best

Hi Melissa, In my next edit here I'm going to add a welcome template that has lots of links to guidelines, poicies and tutorials. There's a lot of info there, so don't feel overwhelmed; the idea is just to put a lot of resources at your disposal. Best, - CorbieVreccan 23:01, 18 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds great

[edit]

Sounds fabulous. There used to be a pretty large section for HP that had our details and the officers names etc... but it has since been completely omitted. Very strange I thought, but had no way to fix it...I would appreciate any help if you or your editors are able to add it. I'll look forward to seeing the updates at a later time. Have a great evening. Warmest Regards Melissa Melissa Ferretti - Chairwoman (talk) 02:17, 18 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
